So... apparently I'm now a Dive mom? And Skyline Swim&Dive were ranked 2nd in the state without having yet attended a meet......

Well, at least you can ease into the job and get the hang of it with no pressure.
I'm confident you can do it but damn, just what you need. On the bright side you won't have any nightmares, because you have to sleep for that.

Polo Girl has no confidence in her abilities. Women's club polo season started Weds. She said after the first practice she was the only one who made the fastest intervals for the swim. Tonight she said this about yesterday's practice:

i dont know how much ill get to play btw but yesterday the coaches joked that i was the only one who made the a team and that everyone else was on the b team
proud mama suspects not so much joking :D

Man, it's so hard to counteract that "I'm no good" instinct of teens. Glad she's letting the evidence seep in.

Between Dad's paintball wars, and Mom's cheerleading, she learned bravado. That's probably the best thing parents can do for their kids. Kudos, monster. :jig:

The a team. I love it when a plan comes together

Swimboy was set a challenge (by us) of going under 30s in the 50 free by the end of the season. Today we challenged him to go under 32. Personal best to this point 32.75. Swam a 30.57. and took 4 seconds of his 100 fly. Maybe he is a swimmer after all. It was a fresh/soph only meet, normally he never gets to swim anything other than the 50 free and whatever event the coach doesn't have enough swimmers for. Not really enjoying this team, but so proud of swimboy.

It's a little weird that beest's doc is a co-swim-mom.... but we seem to just kind of pretend like it isn't so and we've all been friends forever

So swimboy has web feet too. Congrats of getting near that 30.0. :thumb:

Faster though, maybe salmon.

First Tournament next weekend. They can only take one team -26 players. 22 are named and numbered on the roster, 4 are named as alternates, no numbers. she is #3 (her old #12 was taken). One of two numbered newbs, the only freshman. She probably won't start, but fingers crossed she gets to play.

We'll be at Indiana U if anyone is close by...

first game. They put her in in the second. She scored. Twice. She trailed the sprint in the third ...and beat the sprinter to the ball. She sprinted in the 4th and won.
