princess bride

Young Frankenstein and anyone who thinks the Blues Brothers is more funny than Airplane doesn't know funny.

Silent 03-07-2005 05:44 PM

Shit.
The Princess Bride is funny, but mostly just cute.

Radar 03-07-2005 05:58 PM

Somebody just put the Princess Bride as the winner even though it was crushed by Young Frankenstein. This little experiment has been very enlightening. I finally realize that very few of you actually have a sense of humor. The mere fact that movies like Forest Gump, Tootsie, Zoolander, Breakfast Club, Cat Ballou, Ghost Busters, When Harry Met Sally, Zelig, White men can't jump, Big trouble in little china, Fahrenheit 9/11, Aladdin, Modern Times, Seven-Year Itch, A Night at the Opera, Duck Soup, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Men in Black, Waiting for Guffman, What About Bob?, Fargo, and As Good as it Gets were on the list proves it completely invalid.

Tootsie beating the Holy Grail is absolutely idiotic.

Zelig beating anything is stupid.

Breakfast Club beating Spinal Tap is bullshit

Gods must be crazy beating stripes is ridiculous.

Princess Bride beating the life of Brian is retarded and beating Young Frankenstein is a travesty

Yesterday my dog somehow wound up with a dried chunk of shit on her ass. It clung there, attached to her butt. I got a paper towel and put some warm water on it and pulled at the chunk slowly and carefully until it worked its way out of the fur around her butt. And now I realize,

I care more about that chunk of dried dogshit than I do about your opinion.

It's not hard to understand - first to get 3 votes wins. You seem to have been behind the curve oon the rules the whole time. If you care enough to complain, you might as well put the time in to figure out the rules.

Why wouldn't you? It has the same worth as you and an even better personality. You should keep that dried chunk of dogshit and keep it in your wallet as ID.

It's the semi-final! Send me a private message with your choice for BOTH games:

Blues Brothers, or The Princess Bride?

Blazing Saddles, or South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut?

If you've never sent a private message before, you don't have to feel strange about it. It's just a message, we're all cool, no big deal.

Everyone may vote once for the next 24 hours, at which time a winner will be announced and the finals will begin.

You may express opinions about any of the films in the thread, and about the heritage of those who prefer each.

May the best/funniest films (which is a deeply personal and individual judgement) win!

I'd like to but it would put me in agreement with... Its kind of like our Presidential race you'll never get the best. I'm gonna PM Blues Brothers/Blazing Saddles and be happy about it.

Agreed. Agreed. And Agreed.

Damn, I'm so agreeable with Griff this morning!

mrnoodle 03-08-2005 08:51 AM

Don't listen to any of this. If you're just coming to the cellar for the first time, please send a private message to UT with 5 words: "Princess Bride and Blazing Saddles". I think he's giving away a prize or something.
