I looked at that damn bird again this morning and almost had coffee come out of my nose. You're hilarious.

Is "knob!" becoming the new "cock!"?
|
it's the economy -we can't afford to use the whole thing any more.

"Is "knob!" becoming the new "cock!"?"
Only 'here', and only as it pertains to those worthy of the moniker.
|
Cock.
|
Knob.
|
Knob has been almost a term of endearment among mates over here for years and years.
You merkins are so sloooooooow... :D |
Or maybe just not upside down.
|
Cock is still a term of endearment over here, just depends how it's said.
"Alright cock?" as opposed to "You cock." |
also cocker.
[eta] also, not sure if it's still in use amongst the childer, but when I was a kid the toughest kid in school was 'the cock of the school', and each class had a 'cock of the class'. There was usually a 'cock' of the girls too. |

"Knob has been almost a term of endearment..."
Well, of course!
That's exactly how I mean it and express it: as 'affection'... ;) |
Well, my sis in law calls my teenage boys knobs (in preference to dicks) when they do something stupid. I think it's funny. Over here it's mostly a more friendly way of telling someone you think they're a dickhead.

Yeah. Every time that picture comes up, I think it's me for a split second, but there's something a little off about it. And then I realize it's not me.
I should make it my profile pic on FB. |
