The above artwork is my absolute favorite piece. There's so many layers...it's symbolism so rich...the composition so classic yet so fresh...

You know, I'm not so sure that Star Wars rock star painting was such a good example of art.
But I think this somewhat bucolic scene is worthy. Inspirational, even. |
Please elucidate , Brianna . I see anthropomorphism , not symbolism . And layers ? What layers ? And what on earth does 'classic' mean ?
Wow, glatt. The subtlety of the imagery is breathtaking.
Bucolic ? A bunch of dogs playing cards in a stuffy room ? If they were running around with Bo-Peep , fine . But they aren't .
OK , wrong picture . Now I see an armless bloke on a river-bank having a fag . It's still not bucolic , thank God . I hate bucolic . But the painting is appalling anyway .
Are you Americans taking the piss ? Is this meta-meta-meta art humour or what ? |
Oh, I think we're taking the piss, sweetie :D At least I know I am...now, the others...

And now I feel like I'm taking the Rorschach test , Ibram
And now I feel I NEED the Rorschach test , Brianna .
Oh, you'll be fine. Unless you ponder that thar art up thar too much. Then yer eyes'll bleed.

Buddug,
I'll admit that the damaged Terminator in the image I posted does take away from its bucolic nature. However, the clouds, sunbeams, river, trees, and meadow full of wildflowers are all classic aspects of that genre. In my defense, I did say it was "somewhat bucolic." And yes, I'm also taking the piss. (If that means what I think it does.) |
