Yes, but too much demand for amps pulls the volts down.

Yes, it's even older than the "new ice age" scare. :-)

I was making a joke, and I assume you are too. Only I don't get yours. It's a heat induced sleep deprivation thing.

Admittedly, my joke wasn't really all that funny.

OK...didn't get your joke to the level of realizing it was a joke. Xob was pointing out that the voltage supplied to his house was just barely making it above 110vac, as an indication of how PECO is browning folks out because the demand for power (measured in watts...or amps at constant voltage, which this as it turns out is not) is so high. So you don't get my joke because I wasn't making one.

Monday in CA...
Santa Cruz = 71°
Half Moon Bay = 69°
San Mateo = 94°
Santa Rosa = 100°

Actually the demand for watts pulls the voltage down and pushes the amperage up. :haha:

OMG, I cant find my *spraying tea everywhere smiley*...I've never heard that one before and I can sooo see it popping out when I least want it to.

It was good stuff. Caught me off guard too...only I didn't have tea in my mouth. :) I've adopted the saying myself...just for shock value I think.

We just had a couple of days in the low nineties and loved it! I had been as high as 107 last week. Miserable. Glad I have an inside job too!

Tonchi 07-29-2006 02:18 PM

Fresno plummeted to 98 yesterday, down from 113 a day before. I think I may live through this yet

P.S. T'Pau, Queen of the Universe, wants to know what's so funny about a melted pussy? It was a serious problem for window-sitters here last week :worried:

The level of nerdi-ness that one must get to before they say "Naw, RMS Volts" is something I don't want to know. Ditto most of xob's other posts.

But, ya know I luv's ya, right, brucie! ;)

xoxoxoBruce 07-29-2006 09:24 PM

Not very nerdy... one step beyond, the electric bill comes once a month.
