Every penny out of my own pocket.

My parents don't buy me jack shit, except as either christmas or birthday presents. I get fifteen to twenty dollars a week allowance until I get a job (which starts this summer), and in turn do a lot of chores, etc. I saved up every penny of that, and decided that a guitar is what I want to spend my money on.

Every teen needs to learn a work ethic. I am a strong believer in that. We did the same thing. Our kids now work for everything they want. They actually have real jobs now. Soon you will learn what it is like to work for everything you need to survive....
