i think jinx told me that you approach stairs with your off foot. unless you're gay....and then, you can't whistle

I switch directions too. I think I usually start clockwise, but I have to make cocoa for breakfast and see what happens. :)

I look over my right shoulder and usually right foot goes first to the stairs, but that changes too. And I'm very strongly right-handed.

I usually stir coffee etc clockwise, but sometimes I use a beating type of motion which really stirs things up. That's more counter clockwise. When mixing other things in bowls I'll do either way depending on what I'm mixing and how it needs to be mixed.

I look over either shoulder.

I'm left handed.

Left is right!

stand up.

pretend someone is approaching you and you have to defend yourself.

which foot and shoulder did you step back with? if you are right handed then your right foot and shoulder will be in back. you do it instinctively because that will create the most stability and power if you need to dodge or punch.

pretend you are going to race someone.

chances are you just crouched a little and tensed with your dominant foot further back to "launch" you out of the blocks. instinct.

Look over my left shoulder, to draw attention away from the movement of my gun hand.

Right handed, look over my right shoulder. When driving, that's where the blind spot is. And my son's infant seat. Step up with right foot... stir clockwise, until my arm gets tired then I switch directions... Step back with right foot to get into the "warrior stance" or "fighting stance". Allows more power to be projected/thrown from right (dominant) arm/leg.

Just like Han Solo!

funny. my first thought when i read bruce's post was "han shot first". but i figured that was a pretty geeky comment. but since you went there first... it's still pretty geeky, but well done.

And for the record, who the hell wouldn't think it would be awesome to wear Boba Fett's armor?

Clockwise!!

I am noticing something new I'm doing that is curious to me...Everything is on the left side of my desk as if I am left-handed.....The calculator, pens, etc....I can be ambidextrious but this is outright strange......I have been using all these items left-handed without blinking an eye...until the other day, I noticed unconsciously, and now I'm thinking wtf?

monster 01-29-2008 05:05 PM

Of course, if we're talking shit stirring, then I just poke it repeatedly with no discernable direction until it sticks to something.

same here. i always put it down to playing the guitar. right handed players finger the frets with the left hand. i can add on my adding machine without looking at it as though i were playing the guitar. my desk just happens to be L shaped in that direction. the other finance office is mirrored to mine, and the adding machine and phone are all on the right. I can use them, but it feels weird.
