Distinctive, excellent bel canto male soloist -- Andrea Bocelli.

But just distinctive, without being good -- yeah, Bob Dylan even at his best sang like a duck. Now he sings like an unintelligible duck, if that fiasco of a live song by satellite from Japan is a sample. I was shocked and saddened.

Madonna is not on the list... distinctive, but no good. Reedy quality. Not enough for me. I didn't even buy her sex book.

Rod Halpert was a real tenor who sang rock and roll, not baritones struggling to sing tenor like Robert Plant and Ozzy Osborne.
