I think UT should have just named it Jim's Social Groups.

The weird thing is, it appears that any user can change any group, but the settings are explicitly set not to allow that.

Could be a bug... can somebody else who's a non-group owner, try to rename somebody else's group?

Apparently. Also, I can't change the title back. I can only change the picture and the tagline.

It turns out he inherited the ability when he was moderator of his own section. I've removed that moderatorship so all should return to normal.
