Water. The thing the turtle is on is a floating plastic log. It's anchored to the side of the aquarium by the two black vertical sticks.

I wondered why that "rock" was moving earlier.

I think he was nudging it from below at one point. He's actually quite frisky today!

The trickling water sound is nice. can you leave this up 24/7 so I can sleep to it?
