My washer did the same to me and now I always wash towel after washing whites. Just in case.

I still make sure there's nothing we really care about in the next load....

There's always that bit of water that the spin cycle can't eliminate. I wonder if that is normal or if the washer is just going kinda kaput.

monster 07-02-2011 09:32 PM

hmm, I don't notice that

I was gonna suggest buying some TSP and adding it in, but it's getting hard to find real TSP too.

The interior of the door is caked with a white crust, the top spinner was compeletly clogged too, I expect that there is build up inside somehwere harder to reach .

In the article one woamn has bought Phosphate fromt he store and is adding it back in, might be wortha try.

white crust sounds like mineral deposits. Hard water? Try running a cycle with mineral remover or vinegar. Obviously you'd have to wait for the pump out cycle to be done, then pop it open and dump a bunch of vinegar in. That might work, it seems to work for coffee makers which are essentially dishwasher running in reverse, right?

I highly recommend this site for all things appliance related:

For cleaning the inside of the dishwasher, we love this stuff. Of course with the new dishwasher, this won't be relevant to you for awhile...
