oops, did I miss the bunny and kick you instead? :p:

Today was not so bad. I did 4X 1/2 mile at a faster than usual speed with some rest in between. What made me go hmmm....was that I went to the doctor afterwards this morning. An hour or so more after I finished jogging, my heart rate was at 103. That was still a little higher than my usual rest HR. Gonna do some research on that. I'm sure there's some kind of literature or training to bring down your workout HR to resting HR faster.

Heheheh....I do need some kind of incentive. :p:

Most of us need incentive. But on the bright side, the human brain is so complex we can often fool half of our own, while the other half is in the bathroom.

So, tomorrow is the big day. I've been feeling less than ideal the last two days. Allergies suck, and it seriously making me feel like I'm sick. Sneezy, coughing, stuffy nose, runny nose, sinus pressure, headache, brain feeling fuzzy, tired. Ahhh.....all wonderful things that I've been blessed not to experience from having allergies. I am truly sorry for not being more sympathetic to those who have allergies. Now that I am empathetic, can I stop experiencing it? Hihi....

Anyways, I've been busy and sometimes not feeling great, the last two weeks, I've only jogged a few times and only for 3 miles. No matter, I will do that 6.2 miles tomorrow! :D Anyways, I will post my picture as it becomes available. Now, I'm off to bed early for my friend will pick me up at 5:45AM. The run starts at 7AM.

Remember that if your nose runs and your feet smell, you're upside down!

Good luck.

How'd it go?

xoxoxoBruce 09-27-2015 12:35 PM

Tah tah ta tah (French horns) the results are in.
First we had monster, our Tri-Athlete Star, and now we have Lola Bunny our 10K medal holder.
Cloudy, cooler, with occasional drips, but a fast track brings Lola home for the whole 10K, non-stop, in 1 hr & 20 min.

Thank you Bruce for posting. And thank you everyone. :D I just got a text of my result: I finished in 1hr 21mins 14 seconds. Pffft...okay, so I was slower a 1:14 than I thought. But I finished! YAY!!!!! I guess I should have sped up at the end, but I kept my speed throughout. Slow and steady but I finished without stopping. There were so many kids there. I was impressed! There families and children running the 10K too. Anyways, I'm going to start training to run faster. My friend said to do it again and beat my time.

Thank you everyone for your encouragement. Certain days have been difficult, and I'm glad you all were here to cheer me on. :)

What kind of time did your friend the runner who got your into this do?

Lola Bunny 09-27-2015 09:13 PM

According to her, she looked at the clock when she passed the finish line and it was 1hr 4mins. She usually run a 10min mile. I usually do a 13min or 13:30min mile. She said she wants a do a 1/2 marathon next year. Gotta start training now. Frankly, I don't like running all that much. I happy with the 10K. I don't think I'll ever get ambitious enough to venture any kinds of marathon.
