You'd love Alaska. Every gift shop is full of collectibles made out of moose poopl Everything from earrings to swizzle sticks.

Now c'mon Monkey. Those swizzle sticks have the poop sealed in plastic. DON"T THEY?!?!?

The Help Wanted ads in Alaska must make for some interesting reading:

"Wanted - Moose poop collector. Must be willing to follow constipated moose through underbrush for considerable distance. Bags and gloves provided. Pay commensurate with experience."

"Wanted - Experienced individual to sell Alaska's most sought-after novelty items. High markup, easy sale line of deluxe ruminant digestive byproducts in clever reconfigurations. Send resume to iwannasellmoosepoop@bigpiles.com ."

The one you're looking for is "the School for Scandal" Richard Sheridan.

I have a pair of earrings, as well as a set of the swizzle sticks.

Friend of mine went to Alaska. She hooked me up GOOD. She also made a side trip to Washington State ... went to Roslyn, got me some Northern Exposure stuff including mugs, teeshirts, and a photo of the actual moose, then on to Snoqualmie Falls for a Twin Peaks extravaganza.

School for Scandal-that's it! Got my period Brit romantic comedy pieces mixed. :)

I think it's polyeurothane, or something like that...

I don't know if I deliberately collect them per se, but I suffer from a complete inability to throw away old magazines. I still have Ranger Ricks from when I was 8, random Time magazines with other people's names on the mailing label, half the National Geographics published from 1979 forward, a whole slew of guitar magazines that had some song I wanted to learn, a muzzleloader periodical (just one issue from 1992), a metric ton of Road & Tracks, video game mags, bowhunting mags, the Guns & Ammo buyers guide from 1997, even a bunch of weird "I live in the country, here's some pictures of pigs and some recipes" mags that my mom subscribed to.

Absolutely useless from a collectible standpoint, but useful as part of a study of borderline obsessive-compulsive disorder, perhaps.

i collect keyrings, and have since i was 5 or 6.

not stupid ones with things written on them, but from places or of things, i have the complete snow white dwarfs set, little shoes, little phones, hats, animals, buildings, places, smilies, dummies, different colours and textures i have hundreds. i have show boards for them all but at the moment they are all joined together to make a rope of keychains that is metres long.

but i only have two keys.

Zippos. Actually, lighters in general. Too bad I don't smoke or they might prove useful.

The biggest thing I collect: anything dealing with foxes. Pictures, paintings, statues, etc. My room appears as if it were a shrine to them.

Books--about anything and everything.

Stones-- rough crystals, geodes, agates, and rocks with interesting colors and patterns.

Shattered Soul 03-01-2004 07:52 PM

Books, and stamps from other countries.
