My father says he sees my wife in our daughter, but my wife and I both see all me. Though sometimes her expressions remind me of my grandmother on my mother's side.

Here's a photo of me when I was a little one. We have the same curly red hair, etc.

Aden on the left, Mav on the right.

eta: Just a minor brag. Aden was selected for the 'Academic Excellence' class for his year. We are as pleased as punch that all the hard work he put in last year has really paid off and he's now been offered this opportunity.

Shawnee123 01-27-2009 08:08 AM

Awesome Ali!

What handsome young men. :)

glatt 01-27-2009 08:11 AM

It's cool that your school year matches your calendar year.

Up here, we refer to an academic year with two years. (e.g. 2008-2009)

This is what they looked like about 15 years ago. I used to take them out a few times goose and duck hunting. They were too young to shoot but they did enjoy the outings with me and also drinking hot chocolate. I'm glad that they have both grown up with a deep and lasting friendship, sometimes siblings don't get along.

TheMercenary 01-27-2009 03:10 PM

Love that last pic Chris. Those will be some memorable events for them and a great pic to remember it by.

Yeah, I think I'd find it annoying having the year split in two, but really your big break for the kids revolves around summer just as ours does, which I think is great for the kids.

Exactly, very impressive. I put personally sushi into two categories: stuff made out of seafood that I'd never eat, and .. umm, OK, one category.

The "Huh? What planet am I on?" expression on the baby's face is priceless.

Well, the family that slays together, stays together.

I enjoy pictures of Flint because he would never, ever post them if it was up to him. Thanks, Pooka.

And there's no reason not to post that pic, it's beautiful, he's showing what he loves to a next generation of players. It is the epitome of parenting, to show what you love to them, and how much you love it. Not so they learn what you love, but that they learn to love - they learn to appreciate that joy for their whole lives.

Pooka 02-02-2009 09:09 PM

Codfobble... those are some delicious looking "kissing pads"... I bet you smooch the hell out of those!!

UT- Thats why I post them... I agree... Flint is an amazing Papa... and an amazing drummer.

Ducks - wow - they look so grown up already!
Every day seems to bring changes.

Tiki - cute kids... but I have to ask. What is in the hotdog's mouth?! Looks a little grim!

But yes, post us some more - we're kid fans here. Even a sourpuss like me :)

Hmmmm...someone doesn't look to happy about kinder. lol And someone else looks a bit fed up with the attitude in the second pic.

They remind me of Mav and Aden. A gets fed up with M not smiling and being happy about stuff.

Three kids and three computers. Do they each have their own?

Juniper 05-08-2009 09:41 AM

Youngest reminds me so much of a little girl who used to be my daughter's BFF before we moved. Middle one looks like he'd get along great with my almost-11 year old boy, especially since he has gummy bears! :D

Sort of... one of the computers (the one behind middle and smallest in both pictures) is my shipping computer. They do each have old, slow, useless computers that are pretty much only good for checking email.
