It might be nice as a curiosity, but not as a main scoot.

Nope the dope adjusted the OEM bars like that. He didn't care for the windshield as he only tooled around town and didn't get on the open road. Changing the bars on a Harley is a pia, because of internal wiring. The clutch cable and brake lines are in the wind, but have to hide the electrics.

First I will put a Burly clutch kit which fits on the clutch spring. Idk why it is called a kit as it is one piece of steel. I have had a few bikes and Harley is the only one to need a gorilla grip to pull the clutch.

The seat is a Drag Specialities which fits my butt Ok, but my wife nixed it because the passenger seat is 5" wide. I will see what Mustang has to offer.

I would like some saddlebag crash bars. I saw some on Fukbook last month, but I didn't have a King then.

The windshield is there, but brown. I have a spare recurve shield for the Heritage I will see if it fits.

Last, but not least is the jiffy stand. Some think it is cool for a bike to lean way over when parked. Too bad it is chrome too. Well I don't have legs like Popeye cuz a Harley is a heavy bitch.

Thats all I have to do until I do something else. At least a bike is not like owning a boat.

Even thought boat stands for Bust Out Another Thousand, boats are cheaper than Harleys.

Not really. I paid 5500 for this harley in 18 and 6000 for a used Grady White in 87. The bike is used frequently while the boat once a week. The bike has no slip fees, no green heads stuck in the bilge pump plus I don't have to wait for low tide to wash the bike.

One correction, that's Francis' FLSTC Softail Classic labeled as Benedict's FXDC Dyna Super Glide. The price is right though, the softail only brought $52,000.

Seems like it would have been much harder to balance that way.

His airfoil is upside down (and probably clenched).

It's a technique he developed riding for Indian in the 1920's. On high speed straight runs balance isn't a big problem, wind resistance and keeping it straight is the focus.
After Indian scaled back, Harley said they would sponsor him but then reneged, which pissed him off. He talked the bikes owner(son of Vincent) to loan him that bike to break Harley's streamliner speed record of eleven years.
Taking off his leathers gained him one more mph.
