WEEK 8 DAY 5

Is my leg and back routine day so I decided not to jog. While loading the dvd, my sister came out to the living room and we started to yakity yak yak. Forty minutes later, I'm still sitting there on the sofa. I know I'd feel bad later if I decide to skip exercising so I switched to Jacker Warner's leg and ab workouts. Shorter time but I still had a good workout.

I know how you feel. I need to get to bed no later than 11:30 if I want to wake up at 5:30. Anyways, I hope you're doing well with your classes. :)

WEEK 8 DAY 6

KENPO X!! Ok, trying to seem excited cuz I woke up late, got lazy, and only did the kenpo routine. :p: Other than lots of sweating, this routine doesn't really work my heart, and that's why I've always added jogging into my kenpo routine day.

Lola Bunny 07-25-2011 09:58 AM

WEEK 8 DAY 7

I was feeling lazy so I only walked for 1 hr. 15 mins.

WEEK 8 DAY 1

I did the chest, shoulder & tricep routine and ab ripper.

Lola Bunny 07-26-2011 10:15 PM

WEEK 9 DAY 2

Plyometrics.

Lola Bunny 07-27-2011 10:01 PM

WEEK 9 DAY 3

Back & biceps routine and ab ripper

ZenGum 07-28-2011 07:58 AM

Heya Lola, don't you go skimping on these posts. We're watching! ;)

Lola Bunny 07-28-2011 09:50 PM

WEEK 9 DAY 4

Yoga...only. Yes, I'm starting to slack off. I'm enjoying my sleep too much these days.

Oops, I didn't think anyone is really reading my posts anymore. It was starting to feel like a blog on my exercise adventure so I didn't want to bore y'all. But if you guys don't mind, I will babble on. :D

ZenGum 07-29-2011 02:11 AM

WORK IT!!!

WORK IT LIKE YOU MEAN IT!!!!

Lola Bunny 07-29-2011 05:07 PM

WEEK 9 DAY 5

I did the leg & back routine, and yes, I worked them hard! :D So, this is concern for the day. My schedule has changed and I now have less time to exercise in the morning. I have to move quickly just to get an hour of exercise in. On days when I need to add ab ripper, like today, I just have to squeeze it in somehow. I probably try to do it before going to bed. No matter what, I must wake up at 5:30AM if I want to workout. This means I have to go to bed earlier and can't browse the forum like before. :( I was planning to do Insanity after the P90X program, but now I'm not so sure I can do it. I may have to switch to Jackie Warner exercise dvds. Oh well....let's see how things will work. In any case, I refuse to give up on P90X. I'm so close to finishing it. :)

ZenGum 07-29-2011 08:16 PM

Lola Bunny 07-30-2011 09:53 PM

WEEK 9 DAY 6

I did kenpo today. I never got the chance to do ab ripper last night, so I thought I'd do it with kenpo today because the routine is less an hour. Unfortunately, I was moving really, really slow this morning. I didn't even have time to finish all of the kenpo routine. Ugh! Luckily, I was able to do ab ripper this afternoon. :) I don't know why but I was feeling really fat today, all flabby and stuff. :(

You go, girl. I haven't swum for days because of championships and then vacation prep. But on the plus side I've been too busy to eat and too tired to stay up late drinking....

Lola Bunny 07-31-2011 04:34 PM

WEEK 9 DAY 7

Okay, so it's my rest day, I rationalized. I was gonna go for a jog; however, I got hungry and ate instead. :D I promised myself to get on some kind of mangeable diet and go to bed earlier so I can wake up earlier to exercise. And tomorrow will be a better day. :D

Thank you. :D You will be stronger after a few days of rest. No drinking is good; those things are tons of calories. :p:

monster 07-31-2011 05:10 PM

"No Drinking" is a bit of a stretch ;)

Lola Bunny 08-01-2011 09:28 PM

WEEK 10 DAY 1

I skipped exercise this morning but managed to do the yoga exercise this afternoon. No nephew today. :p: I must confess, I've never done the P90X yoga in its entirety before and today was the first time I did all the 1 1/2 hrs of it. OMG! All the men who did this routine, I am impressed. :notworthy I managed to do everything, but the balancing ones were a bit tough for me. And yes, I must point out that I added two weeks in phase one. So, week 10 is really week 8 in phase 2.

Lola Bunny 08-02-2011 11:01 PM

WEEK 10 DAY 2

I almost forgot to write about today. Maybe it's because I'm feeling rather guilty about it. :p: Okay, long story to cook up my excuse for today. I have to finish this sutra, about 250 pgs, within 10 days before the start of this upcoming class. I've only read 34 pgs in. Two hundred fifty pages doesn't sound too long, but it is for me because it's in Vietnamese and I read Vietnamese a bit slower than I do in English. Sooooooo, I decided to dedicate this morning to some reading after meditation(that's usually when I exercise). But I was tired and sleepy, so I decided to do some stretching....on my bed.... hihihi. So, of course, I feel asleep. :D In the end, I neither exercised nor read sutra. I figured I could exercise in the afternoon. However, I looked at the schedule and found out I'm supposed to do the stretch routine for both tomorrow and the day after. Wanna guess what I decided? Yups, I rationalized that I could exercise tomorrow and stretch the following day. :D So, there you go, I didn't exercise today but it's okay. :D

Lola Bunny 08-03-2011 11:47 PM

WEEK 10 DAY 3

I did core synergistics. Not much more to say other than I'm happy I was able to get my exercise in. :D

ZenGum 08-05-2011 12:49 AM

Excellent, keep at it.

I'm only pretending to be your personal trainer so I can get a perve, you know.

Lola Bunny 08-05-2011 11:10 PM

I wrote a long post with lots of descriptions and explanations but by the time I post it, I had to log in again. Unfortunately, it couldn't post and I lost everything. I'm too darn tired to rewrite everything all y'all get is a summary.

WEEK 10 DAY 4

Sigh...I ended up not doing my stretch exercise.

WEEK 10 DAY 5

I didn't do my core synergists but I joined a friend to do Jillian Michael's circuit training dvd. Forty mins long. Then I did burpees with a knee jump and a sorta ball pike except without the ball. :p:

Lola Bunny 08-06-2011 11:03 PM

WEEK 10 DAY 6

Ehrm.....ummm.....hmmm.....I didn't exercise today.

Lola Bunny 08-08-2011 11:19 PM

WEEK 10 DAY 7

I didn't do any form of exercise. I meant to stretch because I sorely need it but forgot why I never got around to it.

PHASE 3

WEEK 11 DAY 1

I didn't exercise today....again. :( You can either stop here or continue reading if you want to read my diary-like entry whine on life and poor excuse use of women problem.

I couldn't exercise this morning. Something unexpected came up and also, I forgot about my mom's dental appointment. I was able to grab a granola bar as I ran out the door. By the time I got home, it was way past lunch time. Not hungry but I developed a headache from lack of food. Yes, I can't starve myself; my body would protest. My mom's dental treatment is at the point where I need a huge amont of cash, which I am short of. I have a guest coming for a long-term stay and there are still lots to clean. Really nothing major to worry. Perhaps a mild annoyance, right? Well, I have pms, and it puts me on edge. Oh yeah, my stomach punished me for neglecting it by giving me heartburn after I ate in the afternoon until way into the evening. So, today I felt mentally and physically strained.

kerosene 08-10-2011 02:29 PM

I am sorry you aren't feeling good, Lola. I know how it is hard to balance the food/exercise. You are doing great, though and I hope you keep with it. You are an inspiration!

Big Sarge 08-10-2011 04:48 PM

Lola bunny - hun, you don't need to starve yourself. You are so tiny to begin with. Tsk, tsk

Lola Bunny 08-12-2011 05:13 PM

Kero and Sarge: Thanks for the nice words. I think I expressed myself wrong. I didn't starve myself that day. I was gonna eat breakfast when my mom reminded me about her dental appointment. I grabbed a granola bar on my way out of the door so I wouldn't miss breakfast, or should I say be on an empty stomach. After we got out of the dental office, I had to stop by the grocery store to get some stuffs. By the time I had the chance to eat lunch, it was way late. I was starving by then and my body reacted to the food deprivation. I don't starve myself on purpose.

Now to address my lack of input these days about my exercise. I have not been exercising. I have been busy, and I have been lagging because I've been feeling a bit unmotivated. However, I am not going to give up because I decided I am not quit as I've done so often on so many things in the past. Although P90X is nothing major in life, I am using it as a marker for being serious about changing my bad habits, one of which is giving up. I just missed a week of the program, which I will do again next week. I also intend to exercise again tomorrow. So, I will see y'all tomorrow. :D

Griff 08-12-2011 05:31 PM

We all need a break sometimes to keep it fresh.

Lola Bunny 08-16-2011 09:48 PM

Thanks, Griff.

As some of you may have guessed, I have not been exercising. On Sunday, I did the P90X stretch to prep my muscles back to training. On Monday, my brother had to go somewhere early so he asked me to come over and sleep with my nephew. (His mom leaves for work at 4:30AM.) This morning, my brother had to go somewhere early again so I went with sis-in-law to take my nephew to the dentist. He's petrified of the dentist. Can't blame him. We weren't permitted to go in with him because they said the children would cry more with relatives around. He came home with all these spots around his eyes and forehead area due to broken blood vessels because he cried too much. He threw up everytime he eats something. That's at least 4 times since this afternoon. I heard that's a side effect of laughing gas. (But really, not being able to hold any food down?!?) And tonight, I saw these marks on his ears and part of his head hurts. :( Anyways, hopefully I can get some exercise tomorrow. Although this is a bit cheating, I will now input my measurements that I took last week. :p:

weight: 100.4 lbs.
waist: 28
hip: 33
thigh: 20

ZenGum 08-16-2011 11:46 PM

I know you're petite, Lola, but those are not quite the three numbers we're after. ;)

Oh and What Sarge Said. There's a woman whose breasts alone weigh 20% more than your entire body.

Lola Bunny 08-18-2011 08:52 PM

Okay, I resisted but failed. Gotta ask, what three numbers are you after? :p:

ZenGum 08-19-2011 12:02 AM

Bust/waist/hips, of course. Mind you, the thigh is a nice detail!

Lola Bunny 08-19-2011 10:26 PM

Oh, heheheh. Well, I never mind giving TMI but knowing that first measurement, you will only end up being disappointed or disillusioned or....! :p:

Lola Bunny 08-23-2011 10:47 PM

PHASE 3

WEEK 11 DAY 1

Okay, after three...yes, three weeks of being lazy, I finally exercised. :p: I am finishing that last phase, which is 5 weeks. I missed yesterday so today is day one and the routine for today is chest and back and ab ripper. I did half of the chest and back routine, which was plenty. My arms were shaking afterwards. :p: Alrighty, see ya tomorrow! :D

ZenGum 08-24-2011 01:55 AM

Noted.

REST PERIOD IS OVER, YOU LAZY MAGGOT! NOW GET BACK TO WORK!!!!!!

I mean that nicely.

Lola Bunny 08-24-2011 11:29 AM

hahah...you should've yelled at me while I was being lazy. :p: Anyways....

WEEK 11 DAY 2

I did plyometrics this morning. Because my aunt was sitting there watching me, I didn't cheat; I went down low and jumped up high. Damn, I was exhausted. :dead3:

Lola Bunny 08-25-2011 11:02 PM

WEEK 11 DAY 3

So, I only had enough time to either eat cake and enjoy a nice cup of coffee or exercise. *hang my head* I had some cake and coffee. :D

ZenGum 08-26-2011 02:25 AM

Completed, one set of arm exercises, one set of jaw exercises, and 20 minutes of peristalsis to work the core abs.

monster 08-26-2011 07:01 PM

Zeng, all you need is a sex scandal and you're all set to run for office.....

Lola Bunny 08-26-2011 11:15 PM

WEEK 11 DAY 4

Only did ab ripper. :p:

You need to add leg exercises there too. I had to walk from the fridge to take the cake out into the dining room, cut a slice, bring back the rest into the fridge. :D

ZenGum 08-27-2011 12:04 AM

Cut a slice? That counts as resistance training. :D

Well, I did more leg work than resistance training cuz I went back to the fridge for a second slice. :D

WEEK 11 DAY 5, 6, 7

Ehem...so, I did nothing, nothing, and nothing. I will go flog myself and get back to the program tomorrow. :blunt:

Lola Bunny 08-29-2011 10:32 PM

WEEK 12 DAY 1

I did chest, shoulder, & tricep. I hate this routine, too much push-ups. :greenface I also did ab ripper.

Plyometrics! :dead:

BigV 08-31-2011 06:51 PM

It is the worse and the best. Worse because it's the most tiring one. It's the best because it wears you out the most. :D

Lola Bunny 09-04-2011 04:38 PM

WEEK 12 DAY 3, 4, 5, 6, 7

As you can tell from my lack of input, I have not been exercising. Today, however, I did go jogging. The weather was much cooler than it has been so it was tolerable to go out jogging at 7:30AM. Since it has been a long while that I last jogged, I took it nice and slow to complete a 30 minute jog. :)

Lola Bunny 09-05-2011 10:19 PM

WEEK 13 DAY 1

I only made time for a 25 min. jog this morning. Perhaps I could've done a P90X routine but I really needed a jog. I had to help my aunt cook this afternoon so I could not squeeze in P90X. Let's see how tomorrow goes. My mom has an early dental appointment and hopefully the doctor okays my dad to go home from the hospital. I also have to go to office tomorrow afternoon. Right now, I must get to the temple to help do piece work. Sleep well!

ZenGum 09-12-2011 11:43 PM

:eyebrow:

:whip: !!!

Lola Bunny 09-13-2011 01:34 PM

Thanks, ZenGum. :D Any day now, I was gonna post a "I give up" in this thread. But I've been reluctant because I'm just a few weeks short. And yes, I'm sure most of you probably thought what's the use since I haven't been exercising anyways. I have so many reasons and excuses that I don't want to get into. Thanks to Zen, I will push myself and manage somehow. I will finish those last several weeks of practice for my own satisfaction.

Zen: Thanks ....whipping me? :p::D Now, how should I pay you as my trainer after I'm done with the program? ;)

Lola Bunny 09-14-2011 01:33 PM

I want to do P90X now but my aunt is hanging around. Everytime I do P90X, she would constantly make comments and criticisms -- women shouldn't do those kinds of exercises, you'll look ugly...work only your waist and hips, blah, blah, blah. She even corrected my push-up form when she couldn't do one herself. At first, I was able to put up a mental block, but after a month long, my tolerance cup has overflown. Today is shoulder & arms and ab ripper routines. I think I'll just jump on the treadmill, do push-ups and ab exercises afterwards. I'm just procrastinating a bit now because I have an upset stomach. :p:

ZenGum 09-14-2011 08:54 PM

Lola ... the whipping is payment enough :D

Re: bitchy Aunt ...
Listen to her. Get angry. Work the anger into your exercises.

We used to have an exercise room in the apartment complex with a punching bag, but they already closed it down and took down the punching bag. My brother has a standing punching ball though. Maybe I can vent on that. :p:

Let's start with the number one, and work up...

I did plyometrics today. Ugh...the body really goes back to day one weakness after you've slacked off for too long.

Good choice. I like that one too.

Lola Bunny 09-26-2011 01:13 PM

I've been exercising, sorta, but been too busy to input it. So, here is the summary of it.

WEEK 13 DAY 3, 4, 5

I did not exercise, and I'm sure I had a very good reason why I did not but now I cannot remember my extremely good excuse. .....hihihihi. On Day 5, or Friday, I had errands to run, fix my sunglasses, shopping, and had my hair cut, I simply didn't have time. :D

WEEK 13 DAY 6, 7

On day 6, Saturday, I jogged for 30 minutes and did yoga. On day 7, Sunday, I did the legs and back routine.

Lola Bunny 10-02-2011 11:52 AM

WEEK 14 DAY 1

I jogged for 20 mins. Not used to the cooler air yet. The discomfort was going up to my brain so I stopped. Afterwards, I went in to do the chest, shoulder, and triceps routine. Was supposed to do Ab ripper but forgot. :p:

WEEK 14 DAY 2

I did plyometrics today. :D

Stormieweather 10-03-2011 01:48 PM

I've been following along here, Lola Bunny :). Today, I'm starting P90X also, hope to be done right around the end of the year.

I lost 43 pounds since I quit smoking a year and a half ago, and only have about 10 to go, now I need to work on some muscles!

Wish me luck!

classicman 10-03-2011 01:56 PM

Good for you, Stormie. Good Luck!
