What's that last thing, a desert?

Lola Bunny 06-06-2015 09:34 PM

They call it apple pie. :D I like it. Not too sweet and the crust was nice.

Gravdigr 06-12-2015 12:27 PM

Looks kinda like an Apple Brown Betty. Kinda.

Sundae 06-12-2015 03:30 PM

Sorry, but it looks like something a cat sicked up.

Jus sayin...

A British woman from England just said that. Really.

Forgot to upload from Monday night. My boss took us to dinner at a nice steak, seafood, and crab place. The dark was dark, so the pics are kind of blurry. She invited my sister too because my boss knows her. I had seabass and she had bass and we shared a carrot cake.

You're living mighty high on the hog.

You mean the "apple pie"? Wasn't sure what you were talking about at first. :p:

That comment is so lazy I won't even :blah:
Expected better of you.

Yeah. Maybe I was being mean. I assume it tasted yummy. And if you'd made it yourself I'd never have been so rude.

Your boss treats you well!
Can I come work for her too?
Then again she probably looked at your tiny frame and thought she'd get away lightly. One look at me and she'd know I could pack it away like a starving miner.

Lazy? I labored to make it that nice!

I only found your comment funny (and my reply was written with humor in mind, not as an actual insult) because a great deal of British cuisine (and I use that term loosely, very loosely) looks to have been eaten by a cat, yakked up by said cat, then that cat yak eaten by a badger, and then shit onto a plate. Seasoned with coarsely ground thistles and pine cone shavings.

That's the lazy version of that comment.

Don't ever expect much from me, you'll only be disappointed. It's what I do, afterall, disappoint.

I'm sorry if you were actually offended by that, Sundae. It was not my intention to insult.

Sundae 06-14-2015 04:30 PM

I don't know why I suddenly decided to be all offended by what was a comment made in jest. Perhaps it was a backwash of guilt for really being quite rude about a photo Lola was kind enough to share publicly.

I defend American eating habits and food so often myself, when people who have never even been to America make fun about all Americans being fat, lazy, stupid and eating crap food all day every day. It's so obviously not true, but the poor souls who trot it out are just dumb enough to believe it.

I still think that British cuisine can be held up against some of the finest in the world, but there was no reason for me to get pissy about it.

So my apologies to Lola, and to you Grav.
Hey, at least you get to keep your Great Offender title ;)

It was the office's one year anniversary. She is generous to her employees. She gives us free eye exams and whatever we buy, i.e. glasses, contact lenses, etc., she let us get it at her price. Most places just give their employees discounts. The doc took the whole office to dinner (just 4 of us, plus my sister and her son) and one of the workers is a 300 lbs. (so he claims even though the other girls think he's heavier) man. He ordered an entree that comes with a 10 oz steak, a humongous lobster tail, and mash potatoes. Sundae, I'm sure you would eat less than that. :p:

Went to dinner to celebrate a friend's birthday. I had a salad, lobster mac-n-cheese, filet mignon, and a cocktail. Oh yeah....mash potato and strawberry shortcake.
