If i point a camera at either one of my Cats they immediately sit and stare.

That's just when Slick started moving.

funny cat story too!

Thanks! I'm still in recovery mode (persistent cough, tire easily, conjunctivitis remains an issue), but I'm definitely feeling better. Last night I got busy and did some vacuuming, cleaned the master bathroom, and made some yummy chicken salad.

Neither my basic Cannon camera nor my Android phone do bursts, as far as I can tell. As for the bolded part, you speak as though I have even the tiniest understanding of digital/technical manipulation. :p:

Sometimes ya have the option while watching a vid, maybe;), to take a snapshot of what you're seeing in the vid.

xoxoxoBruce 02-21-2019 02:37 AM

And some websites like Pinterest and Twitter won't let you grab images so you have to take a screen shot of your whole screen and edit it down to the picture you want in your photo program.

Gravdigr 02-21-2019 01:57 PM

Or ya use the snipping tool that comes with Win7.;)

xoxoxoBruce 02-22-2019 01:40 AM

Snipping tool??

Open, click new, drag a box around the area and save as a file.

That's interesting, I've never used that. I just tap the screen capture key(PS on my keyboard) and paste it into photoshop. Snippet might prove to be faster if I'm doing several images at one site, have to try it, thanks. :thumb:

This snipping tool looks like it may be useful. I just pinned it to my taskbar.

The only potential downside I see is that is copies an item as it appears in the screen's resolution, for good or for bad.

Gravdigr 02-22-2019 02:11 PM

It's handy for those sites that don't allow right-click-copy, and/or save-picture-as.

Clodfobble 02-22-2019 03:13 PM

!!!

That's way faster than screenshotting, pasting into paint, selecting the portion I want and getting rid of the portion I don't. Thanks for the tip!

glatt 02-22-2019 05:15 PM

I've used it three times today for work. Legit getting paid to use it.

You paste that thing into a word document and print to PDF and you're golden. Works great to screenshot filing receipts.

Flint 02-22-2019 07:18 PM

Yeah, my IT analysts encourage users to use the Snipping Tool to send screenshots with their emails. To be honest, I still use https://www.irfanview.com/ almost always, because I usually want to annotate, circle, draw arrows, or pixel-ize sensitive data.
