ouch. What he done?
No, I know what's in it. It was an ill-advised choice, not a case of ignorance.
I've been knocked on my arse by a long island iced tea before and I'd consider myself a pretty seasoned drinker.
I think it might have had a bit to do with what I was drinking previously of course, but still...I was a write off, which doesn't happen too often. They do taste good though. When I make them, I usually fill the cocktail shaker with ice and put the spirits in, shake it then pour that into a glass full of ice and top it up with coke. That way you don't lose any fizz and you don't get froth either. Serve with a long straw and a stirer and away you go. :) |
Not very fuckin much lately-thus the indifference
husbands can be like that binky. That's why they need us women to keep them focused and on task. ;)
I have never tried a long island iced tea...I feel I am missing out on an essential life experience.....
They're pretty good... but yeah, they really kinda kick. A lot.
I'm indifferent to the plight of Gypsies (I refuse to call them Romas) and immigrant Iraqis. I'm not saying, "They're ALL bad" but I haven't met a decent, upstanding, honest one, in my country yet and as far as I'm concerned they can go back to where they came from so that we can sweep the streets clean from their insistent littering, scrub the walls of our schools clean from their grafitti, repair the public park playgrounds from their vandalism (for our children's sake) and get a good sleep without them shouting the whole bloody night long.
That doesn't sound like indifference to me, that sounds like antipathy. It also sounds like racist bile, but hey....what do I know?

But see. Now you've done it! Now I have to go to google and look up the definition of the two! Kill joy! :) |
1). Antipathy is dislike for something or somebody ... Yes, it's more of a conviction of disfavour ....
2). Indifference may refer to the lack of emotion ... Hmmm with the stress on the word lack ...of emotion You're right. |
you felt the need to question the word of an englishwoman correcting word usage on an American based web community?

Dana...get thee too a pub instantly!

*chuckles* I'd better not Ali...don't think it would improve my ability to get a handle on political changes between 1688 and 1717....which is what I ought to be doing now...shouldn't really be here...got to go revise..
