That was the only red van that went by. And the window is rolled down, so maybe she was hanging out of it and the camera missed her.

I thought that too. At first I saw this van, but it's more maroonish:

You see that huge pack of people going by? Poor white car had to wait almost a minute for all those pedestrians.

It was some sort of street gang. Note the yellow gang clothing.

The Ann Arbor 'burbs are notorious for street gangs, yo.

edit: Hey, you can't even see the sign in this picture. It can't be totally obscured by that car. No wonder people hit it when it disappears and reappears like some Cheshire Stop Sign.

yup. that was after we crossed with a sign that said "hi cellar" and then stood on the sidewalk for a minute.

We parked off to the right of the camera, walked back, crossed, waved and held up a sign, crossed again, went back to the car and that was us headed home.....
