Radar makes a statement.
Someone questions it.
Radar reiterates.
Someone still questions.
Radar makes disparaging remarks about Someone.
Nobody posts.
Radar goes away.
It's that simple.;)

I dunno... Griff just said Radar wasn't a hillbilly and Radar went on a mini-rant saying he wasn't a hillbilly. I've got no idea why...

Kind of like the serial killers that prey on hookers and the like because "they contribute to nothing but spread of disease across all of humanity and the goodness that of which is humanity?" I agree in that sense.

Griff said slang wasn't really a hillbilly (despite his self-identifying as one). He didn't actually say anything about radar in that particular post.

I believe the problem is that radar doesn't really read anything that he responds to.

(Frankly, I'm thrilled that radar is 1. a city dweller, and 2. in CA. Both of these factors make it extremely unlikely that I will ever have accidental contact with him.)

I'll apologize for last night to, though I didn't take it to the extreme that syc did, I still egged it on. Just needed to release a little steam and radar was an easy target.

This is exactly what I mean. I see no evidence that he questions anything he says. He's assumed the mantle of 'good guy' and see's no potential harm in his actions.
Wolf, no, he doesn't read. he doesn't have to read anything becuase he's "intellectually superior." 'Sides, why listen to the other guy at all when you have "The Truth" and every one not already in agreement with you is an idiot?
Don't worry about it Cam. If he believed he was half as great as he claims, or if he believed we were half as stupid, then he wouldn't post here at all. This makes him annoying and fun to piss off.

elSicomoro 05-03-2003 09:22 AM

That's a great point, Whit. He says he posts here to school us (or at least he did when he first came on here). Now I don't know about you folks, but I can only handle unintelligent people for so long.

Thanks Cam for rubbing it in, ya bastard! ;) Though I must say that a couple of my quips were rather funny...at least IMO.

Whit 05-03-2003 11:00 AM

I think I've seen almost everyone score some solid hits on Radar. He just denies it and claims he's to much smarter for it to matter. Of course, as I said, if he believed it then he wouldn't be bothering with us. Which is really funny. I really feel sorry for the poor bastard. You don't have to live in denial the way he does if you have any real self-esteem.

Had to revive this thread, given what's going on over in Politics.

This AdanSmith character is fast proving himself an asshat...the anti-Radar of sorts.

But I have to admit, it's funny to watch those two fling shit at each other. And this could be better than Cairo/Radar.

So, pop some popcorn, put on your favorite angst music, kick back, and enjoy the show.

Hey, am I the only one getting the feeling that Adan and Jan thought this was a liber... S'cuse me, neo-libertarian site? I mean they really are pushing the "Which is the real libertarian" thing. Why the hell would we care? Especialy since Radar's the only big libertarian around that I know of? I know UT used to be, but he's made it clear that's in the past. I just don't get it...

xoxoxoBruce 10-02-2003 06:12 PM

I can't tell if they're baiting Radar or everyone? I am sure they've got some cockeyed views on how the country should run.

I'm still a big L but mostly because neither the elephants nor the asses are interested in my vote. I'm no absolutist like these clowns. I'd just like to see the size and scope of government reduced and the troops brought home. besides, the paleo-libertarians are the good guys not the geos ;)

Whit 10-03-2003 11:54 PM

Well, it looks like all the libs, 'cept for Griff of course, have abandoned us. I guess we didn't live up to their standards.

elSicomoro 10-04-2003 12:01 AM

Griff is indeed a big L...a big L for Loser, b/c he hasn't taken off those rose-colored glasses yet. :)

I hope they're gone...they were nothing but pollution.

That is a sign of how irrelevent the party is. Just about everyone who posts here regularly has some libertarian tendencies but with folks like The Bagged One checking everybodies purity as gatekeeper for the party we'll never get above a couple percentage points. This is very frustrating to me because minimizing government is a fairly popular viewpoint which I'd say neither entrenched party has any interest in. This should be a time of expasion in the LP because of the misguided war effort, the stunning deficit, the Patriot Acts, the drug war, and the sweetheart deals for connected businesses. Watching most of the Dems desperately avoiding being labeled pacifists and Reps justifying huge spending increases is just depressing.
