aw, nuts! tommy boy is great! it is truly unfortunate that it went up against airplane in the first round. don't you remember - tommy takes a little while to find his groove, but once he's in the zone....

Caddyshack, or Real Genius?

Forrest Gump isn't even a comedy, I mean I smiled over it a few times but definately not a gut busting laugh fest.

Lord how could you pick Real Genius over Caddyshack? Real Genius is amusing. Caddyshack has some all time great moments in comedy.

Yeah, but neither was "As Good As It Gets." and Forrest was the better of the two non-comedies. Funnier too.

And i'm surprised that Real Genius beat out Caddyshack. Both are good, but Caddyshack is a classic. So it's got that going for it, which is nice.

real genius remains one of the funniest movies of the '80's IMO. it is a hard decision between that and caddyshack, but i went with my gut. (maybe because it is more forgotten and not as overplayed as every line of caddyshack?)

lines like "can you drive a 6 inch nail through a board with your penis?"

they still make me laugh! i guess it boils down to that if i'm flipping throught the channels and see caddyshack i keep going, i run across real genius and i'm going to leave it there. maybe absence makes the funny bone more sensitive?

The winner of a given round is the movie that is selected in the first reply to your "tip-off"? I don't think I understand this right. Even the nomination process was...democratic permitting "votes" to determine the seeding process.
