I wonder if the pimp watches TV or message boards?
Think he lost any credibility? |

In related news, here's a go-ped that can beat a trans am.
I think it's funny that he wears a helmet. Like that'll do him a damn bit of good. |

It might keep his autonomic functions going long enough for the transplant team to harvest whatever is salvageable.
|
I would bet if he's going to lose it, that would happen in the first 50 feet at moderate speeds. The helmet would be a big help there. I've had the dubious pleasure of traveling on blacktop at 85mph, unencumbered by a vehicle, with relatively minor damage. It did grind the visor snaps off the helmet, though. :bonk:

If that dude in shorts had hit the pavement going that fast he would have been nothing but a bloody 100+ft skid mark !!!!!
That being said , I WANT ONE !!!!!!! I could just imagen some of the gear heads around here , sooped camerios and the such , sitting at a stop lite , i pull up next to them on one of these , flip up the visor , grin and say " lets GO when the lite turns green !!!!" Then i SMOKE them !!!!!!! |
Compared to this guy, we all suck at the gun range.
|
I don't think there's enough ammo in the world for me to get that good.
But I'd be willing to spend the time trying, if I could get a corporate sponsor. Mr. Glock? PM me to discuss details. Thank you. (what I really found impressive was that the 6-reload-6 was with a revolver) :eek6: |
what I really found impressive was that the 6-reload-6 was with a revolver
Yeah, thats all he uses in any of the clips. Its disturbing. |
I think he swapped cylinders rather than a speed loader.
|
I thought I heard brass drop. I'll have to watch it again.
Either way, that's inhumanly fast. |
dude is useing pre loaded moon clips , i think .
I can't make a speed loader work ANY where near as fast ;) |

You're right 404, I stand corrected.

Didn't mean to rain on your parade Bruce, but I knew who that was right away because I'm a big revolver fan and have enjoyed watching Miculek for some time now. BTW, he was using a S&W 625 .45ACP with full moon clips, no speed loaders needed.
Back in the day I shot competition PPC matches and the occasional combat match for the prison with a fellow officer and gunsmith friend of mine. We both used revolvers exclusively and did quite well against most of the auto loaders. Reloading a cylinder with speed loaders as fast as an auto takes a lot of endless practice standing in the living room every night with your holster on and dropping empties on the rug. Hummm...maybe that's why I'm not married anymore....nah. |
Holy crap.

I know that the signature is an important part of personal expression and all ... but could you please reduce the text size.

Full moon clips? (not a revolver owner)
|
The full moon is on the back.

one of my clients is a western shooter. he has a variety of carry pieces that are semiauto, but his competition is always with revolvers. hecasts his own ammunition. what a very cool process to watch.
|
revolvers can always be shot faster than semi-autos because the cycle time on an auto is always the same. Recoil pushes back the slide and ejects the round, then the slide has to come back forward while encountering the resistance of the fresh round coming from the magazine and into the chamber. Revolvers are as fast as the fingers shooting them.
There's a guy who has beat Miculek in competition - Bud Bond. He beat him in 2001, I believe. Bud had all his gun work done at the shop I worked at, so we had his little plaque hanging up for quite a while. He and the owner have since had a falling out (EVERYONE eventually has a falling out with this owner, including me) so I don't know what's become of Bud. |

Cool discussion on moon clips . I have wanted a SW 610 (.10mm revolver) for a long time , i don't see them comeing up for sale much tho .
|
When the 10mm round first hit the market I ran out and bought a Colt 10mm Delta Elite in stainless steel and all the reloading equipment and brass to go with it. I liked it okay but being a revolver guy I ended up trading it in for a S&W 657, .41 mag. and have been kicking myself in the ass ever since for getting rid of the Colt. When the .40S&W round came out I ran out and got a S&W 4006, it's a great carry gun and I love the .40 round ballistics but it's still an auto. The S&W 610 came out for a short time in the early 90's and I missed getting one at the time but they have since begun producing them again. It's definitely on my "gotta have one" list because it's the best of both worlds in the .40 caliber field. Not only will it shoot the 10mm but .40S&W and the 10mm 'lite'. Very versatile revolver, good choice, Zippyt. You might try the S&W dealer locator for starters to find one.

Here's a clip that works well with the thread title.
Damn, that "Requiem for a Dream" music is good. |
|
I'm confused -- was that a really long car commercial, or something else entirely?
|
Yes, both.

In case you were wondering what this was like
|
Wow. Is the tazer actually shooting the wire out at the person? I always pictured those little arc-shaped things from the 80s that you had to physically reach out and touch the person with.
|
This is the new tazer gun, yes. It shoots two hooks on wires into the bad guy (or sometimes just out of control guy. I've had several patients tazered, and they weren't bad, just nuts) and then runs current through the wires.
There is a contact mode to the tazer gun I think, but it's safer for the user to shoot and let the device do the work. I have a still picture of someone I know getting zapped, but it's somewhere in the morass of my hard drive. |
Since I have dial-up at home I save the video clips to look at for work. If you go to the tazer site you can download a whole bunch of clips from there.
My two favorites are the drunk and domestic one and the bull. |
|
I have read about a new prototype of taser that will project dual lines of plasma along which the current will flow...no wires.
Cool. |

Interesting...can you send me any more information about those things about which you do not know? :D
|
I thought the fact that it shot out the darts/wires, is what made a Taser a taser. I mean that's what separated it from the dozens of other electrical gizmos that will knock you down but require up close and personal contact.
The plasma lines would be an order of magnitude leap, if they will go through a chainlink fence and wind/strong draft. Maybe even reflect them off a plate glass window or mirror. :grinnylov |
So what if one wore a suit of tinfoil? Would the taser find its shortest path of resistance and burn itself out?

Slang doesn't need to be observed...just channeled.
"Hey, Slang...Terrorists!" That would just about do it, I think. |

I've been inside his head.
Don't try this at home. |
You've been in Slang's bathroom? You *are* brave, aren't you?
I didn't mean channeled as in "brought into this world through supernatural means". I meant channeled as in "taking advantage of his natural proclivities for the benefit of mankind." Have we any updates on the lad lately? |

Just found this little gem at another forum, and it is not for the musically faint of heart. I recommend watching it through to the end, if you have the balls. :mg:

Wow. That's bad.

I want that two minutes and my bandwidth back.

Shame that folks will waste digital media and editing time like that.
(I did like the bits with the firefighters, though. But then I like pretty damn much anything with firefighters.) |
I'm reporting you guys to Deu...er...Homeland Security. :ipray:

So strange, erie, and cool all at the same time. Carpark North's Human has a very nice music video.
