2nd pic looks like SR-71s, are those MiGs in the first? (I realize this isn't the what is this thread, just curious :) )

Defense Industry Daily says the first pic is, "Cheetahs and Mirage 50s for Ecuador". The Cheetahs are built by Atlas in South Africa, the Mirage is of course French. I think that picture looks more like Saab Gripens, than Mirages, but they should know. :cool:

I'm not sure that the Mirage 5 has canards.

If you scroll down to the thumbnail, which is the same one in your link, it's labeled Jas-39s and Cheetahs. So is the embiggened picture.
