Today I had a nucal translucency screening which is a scan to detect the possibility of any chromosonal disorders. The scan along with particular blood tests help to give you an idea of your risk factor of having a child with downs syndrome as an example.

You are considered to be high risk if you have a less than 1:300 chance. My risk is considered to be extremely low at 1:4019. We were very relieved.

Everything else is normal and the baby is looking very healthy.

All in all, a very positive result.

Thanks SG. I've actually been feeling much better over the last week, although I did have a massive headache yesterday which sucked, but the vomiting seems to have stopped completely other than still gagging my way through tooth brushing.

Hey, Ali. How you feeling? Are you still having the massive headaches? I had some seriously bad headaches in my 3rd tri. They rushed me in to the doctor's office because of it. It seems like they were worried that it was a sign that my blood pressure was high. I turned out okay. Have you asked your doctor about it?

Nothing much to report on re headaches Case. Everything seems to be going pretty well. I'm 14 weeks now, and life is proceeding at a fairly mundane pace. I have a wicked cold at the moment though which is a bitch because I can't really take anything besides honey and lemon drinks. I think I'm on the mend as of this morning though. My body is expelling a lot of yucky yellowy greenish gunk at a great rate of knots.

Oh...so much for staying healthy huh Merc? lol
