I'd be for legalising drugs including cocaine and heroin too.
Let market forces control the supply, like everything else.

I doubt they'd ever be in so much demand that you could get them in supermarkets (buy one get one free on cocaine! Imagine!) but perhaps in chemists, where cocaine certainly used to be sold.

And then you could also choose your country of origin, your supplier of choice - FairTrade heroin, where you know the farmers get a fair deal, Organic cannabis - no pesticides used on this crop, carbon neutral cocaine etc etc. And every time another soldier is killed in Afghanistan, it affects the sales of drugs from that country. I think we'd see farmers rise up in protest against the Taliban for damaging their trade.

Okay, this is partly tongue in cheek. But I am in favour of legalising drugs.

That would allow the drones to think for themselves. That would be sooo bad, because that might lead to people deciding for themselves and then (horrors) having to take responsibility for their decisions.

Nope, no way, can't do that, the people can't be trusted to act in their own best interest... the government must protect them from themselves. :headshake
