I realize that you might (probably) want to ignore this question here, STFU, perfectly fine responses. I ask from my own experience. As plain as it is to say out loud, it was surprisingly easy to overlook in my own thoughts at the time. I might want to keep the marriage intact, but if Tink wanted to end it, it was over. Each party has the right and the ability to end it (passively, consciously, actively, neglectfully, etc etc.). It takes two to make it work.

Do you want it to work? I would like that

Does she want it to work? She would like that

Is the desire of each explicitly known to the other?yes

Unless you have three yes answers in a row there, you absolutely have a deal breaking problem.

That being said, wanting it to work and being willing to do the work to make it work are two different things

As someone once said, the reason they call it work is because it isn;t a vacation

Excellent. These answers are, as you clearly know, necessary but not sufficient.

Knowing what you each want is a *BIG* deal in your favor, having both answers be "Yes" is an even *bigger* deal. Excellent. :)

In recent news Homegirl has completely lost the plot. I am now quietly setting everything in place to make my exit. The nature of things means this will be a process of about 6 months to a year. I'm done and looking ahead now.

Every man for himself and God against them all

I know this feeling. I left the house and took my car and my things. I just wanted my sanity intact, which wouldn't have happened had I fought or bickered over stuff. Of course, there weren't children involved, for us. :(

Good luck to you.

limey 06-08-2011 03:49 PM

Sorry to hear this footfootfoot. Good luck.
