It should, but it will be slightly lower quality, after changing format twice.

Elspode 02-21-2004 10:19 AM

HM is correct...it is an audio CD, I just chose to build it from my rather extensive MP3 collection rather than dicking with my rather extensive CD collection.

Quality will be a bit lower, but it should be essentially unnoticeable unless you are playing an unconverted track side by side with the ones on my disc.

lumberjim 02-21-2004 10:20 AM

I would say these discs should be in regular cd player friendly formats.....i plan to listen primarily in my car, so, mp3 won't work for me......that also would be a lot harder to fill a disc.

you in, monkey? zippy, you're in, right?

zippyt 02-21-2004 10:24 AM

Sounds interesting , ok I'm in .

How do we comment about these songs ?? I meen one week we get some cool clasical the next we get a disk of death metal or some such .

Oh and do we HAVE to fill the disk ??? wouldn't just 5-10 tunes be representitve of a perticuler time line in our life , or theme we want to put out there ?

juju 02-21-2004 10:43 AM

I suppose I'm game.

juju 02-21-2004 10:45 AM

What if we don't all like the same music?

that'skind of the point, isn't it?

Elspode 02-21-2004 10:55 AM

It would be rather boring if we *did* all like the same music, wouldn't it? :)

zippyt 02-21-2004 10:58 AM

JuJu I think that is the point , to expand your horizens a little . Hell you never know you may like some of the more obscure tunes that meen things to some of the other cellerites .

you put as much or as little as you'd like. my disc will be full.

the commentary and reviews should be interesting to read, but not obligatory. I just think we should avoid naming songs specifically, but i'd like to know what to expect in general terms when i'm expecting a disc from someone.

THIS IS NOT A COMPETITION

gambling is frowned upon.

Elspode 02-21-2004 11:11 AM

No naming of the songs? But what if someone really likes one, and wants to buy a CD, but doesn't know who it is?

Besides, the song title, artist and other info could possibly be relevant to the reason a particular track was included...

That sir is what a cd lable is for . The cd burning soft ware i have tries to get you to make lables for the disk as soon as it has burned .

lumberjim 02-21-2004 11:40 AM

clarification. no naming the songs ONLINE. i would want the name and artist included with the actual cd, though. so i can go buy it if i like the song.

zippyt 02-21-2004 11:46 AM

Cool ,
LJ since you STARTED this can you lay out how it will work , rules etc....

I know it has been said BUT it was fragmented and could be confusing , i know i am a bit Corn-fused ( but HEY that is normal for me ):3eye: :3eye:
