Love the Earl Grey but not enough caffeine to start me up.

right now: a disgusting Diet Pepsi.

Griff 04-26-2008 02:19 PM

...clear, cool, water... ahhhhhhh...
I'm planting blueberry bushes today, got much thirst.

Sundae 04-26-2008 02:29 PM

A chilled glass of Gallo Syrah Rose
Taking it slowly as I won't be having any more after this

Cloud 04-26-2008 02:40 PM

Killians Red. yum.

Aliantha 05-03-2008 05:15 AM

champagne again...and I've cooked myself some chorizo sausage and haloumi along with some taramsalata with turkish bread.

Very yummy little party I'm having here all by myself. (Dazza and the kids have gone fishing this weekend)

Sundae 05-03-2008 06:03 AM

Why haven't they invented teleporting yet?!
I want some of that!

Aliantha 05-03-2008 06:11 AM

Hey...I'm thinking of heading over to Germany later on this year, but probably stop over in London for a couple of days. What's the chances of you being my tour guide? We'll have to go see Dana of course, and there's a couple of other people I'd probably want to catch up with too, but that'd be fun wouldn't it? :) Specially if you've got that corsette by then. lol

Sundae 05-03-2008 06:19 AM

Yes, yes, yesyesyes!
Tell me your dates and I'll take time off. It would be a treat.

Then we can work out what you want to see and I'll be all geeky and suggest an iternary - which you can of course keep if we meet and you can't stand me!

I imagine you'll have people to see & things to do, but whether you fancy a river trip to Greenwich, cocktails at Smollenky's on the Strand, tea at the Ritz, a London Walk, jellied eels in a Pie n Mash Shop - I'll be up for it. You may have guessed I love this city and I'm happy to show it off.

Aliantha 05-03-2008 06:26 AM

lol...well the planning is in its infancy just at the moment, and I may be bringing my girlfriend libby with me too, so you might have more than one of us to cope with. It'll probably be in late july/early august and it'll depend on us selling our house first. But hopefully that'll happen, and then I'll be all set. But yes, I would probably like to spend a week or so in England and see a bit of the countryside moreso than the city, but it'd be great to check out the local hot spots, and of course, I will need to see a couple of pubs while I'm there. From London I plan on getting a rail pass through Europe and stopping in France for a few days then on to Berlin where my cousin lives. Then through Asia and home.

Maybe if you're up to it, you might like to jump on the train with me over to France even. I don't speak French, so I'm likely to make a complete balls up of it on my own. lol

Sundae 05-03-2008 10:14 AM

Well if HM isn't working I might be able to lend him to you (as he has a car!)
We could certainly all take a trip out to Bucks - where we're from - my parents are very hospitable and Dad at least would be happy to run us out to a country pub for dinner.

I'm pencilling you in!

DanaC 05-04-2008 01:11 PM

A rather pleasant House of Commons Claret. *smiles*

Was bought for me about two years ago as a birthday pressie, and it's been waiting for a special day. Decided on the spur of the moment that Friday's victory was worthy of celebration......and besides we'd run out of wine...

skysidhe 05-04-2008 06:50 PM

Coke with ice.

@ Dana...congradulations on your victory AND your claret.

classicman 05-05-2008 03:19 PM

water - finally just plain old clean, clear, fresh, cold, water. I drank way too much wine over the weekend!

binky 05-05-2008 09:36 PM

iced tea

TheMercenary 05-07-2008 05:43 PM

Guinness after a long day at work. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..... :guinness:

binky 05-08-2008 09:50 AM

hot earl grey tea

glatt 05-08-2008 11:09 AM

don't you mean:
"Tea, Earl Grey, hot?"

Urbane Guerrilla 05-08-2008 04:06 PM

Only if Binky's head is shaved.

BigV 05-08-2008 04:08 PM

Coffee, black, hot.

Clodfobble 05-08-2008 04:19 PM

Water, out of a Dr. Pepper can. Is it weird that I habitually fill my empty soda cans with water after I finish the soda? Drinking out of a can is so much nicer than a glass, for some reason...

BigV 05-08-2008 04:21 PM

I vote yes.

Sundae 05-08-2008 04:37 PM

Horrors of yesteryear:
- Having a milk bottle on the table - milk was always in jugs!
- Having a sauce bottle on the table - ketchup & brown sauce were always decanted into squeezy containers
- Drinking out of anything other than a cup/ glass. My Nan genuinely believed rats and mice peed on every single can, especially if bought from a store run by Indians.

Yes, it's weird btw. But pleased to see we've moved on!

I am drinking Diamond White. Which I shouldn't. But once I finish this I'm going to bed like a good girl and not drinking anything else.

LabRat 05-09-2008 01:23 PM

2% milk directly out of the paper quart bottle. (They don't sell 1% in this size)

footfootfoot 05-09-2008 01:42 PM

Pine needle beer.

SteveDallas 05-09-2008 02:15 PM

Coffee

lookout123 05-09-2008 02:49 PM

Propel. cuz I have to do too many situps if I drink Vitaminwater. the commercial told me so.

BigV 05-09-2008 04:16 PM

The Dew.

It went well with the free pizza!

dar512 05-15-2008 09:19 AM

Apple juice - no sugar added.

Trilby 05-15-2008 10:37 AM

stuff i shouldn't be

BigV 05-15-2008 11:37 AM

Coffee, and lovin' it!

elSicomoro 05-15-2008 12:25 PM

I'm not sure what to drink...Diet Dr Pepper, grape juice or milk? I'd love to open this bottle of riesling I have, but I have a job interview at 2 and I work at 5.

Flint 05-15-2008 12:45 PM

Let's see...soda, purple stuff, oh! Sunny D!

Sundae 05-15-2008 02:44 PM

Vodkat Rose

I tis the grimmest thing I have ever tasted.
Seriously thinking of tipping it down the sink.

Either that or go & get my Diet Coke from work to dilute it :)

Tree Fae 05-15-2008 02:52 PM

I just finished off the first can of diet Pepsi for the day. I'm trying to decide if I want chocolate cherry dr pepper or caramel delight Pepsi next. I'm home from work due to stupidity today so I have lots to choose from.

footfootfoot 05-15-2008 05:46 PM

Some kind of screw cap malbec at my MIL's house.

We just spent 7 1/2 hours and $5500.00 at IKEA. Wholly mackeral. I am about done and it wasn't even my $.

But, guess who gets to whap all this stuff together?

Remind me to explain (if I haven't before) the male/female point theory. Not now though.

Clodfobble 05-15-2008 05:55 PM

Holy crap, dude! Is that for your house, or your MIL's?

BigV 05-15-2008 05:57 PM

Wish beer. Raised high in celebration.

Sundae 05-15-2008 06:00 PM

The only Ikea item I didn't put together myself was the wardrobe in this room. I can't remember the exact amount of time it took HM, but I seem to recall it was three times longer than anything had ever taken me - including a double bed, chest of drawers etc.

The Diet Coke is making the vodkat mostly drinkable, but is bound to keep me awake. That and worrying about Dylan, who is awol AGAIN. Second time in two weeks.

And I have my date-no-date tomorrow night. Fat chance of turning up for that all bright eyed and bushy tailed now! Self-sabotage. Threfuge of the truly desperate.

It is totally for MIL's, hence not my coin. (she doesn't love me that much)

I did pick up a few smallish things there today. But crap. I couldn't imagine working there. By 2 pm all the employees had blazed and the few one could find were surly and short.

more malbec!

footfootfoot 05-15-2008 06:12 PM

SG you're just in training! You'll be in peak form in case he's a double bagger.

dar512 05-16-2008 03:35 PM

Water - on the rocks.

classicman 05-16-2008 09:51 PM

The best laugh I had in years was reading the Ikea recruitment ads. If I could be arsed, I'd set up an Ikea Honesty Forum, with the comments fed directly back to HQ. Most people I know appreciate their low cost furniture. EVERYONE (and this now crosses continents) hates their stores, the staff, the experience. All I can assume is that Northern European ethics make it work, and without them it is the 7th circle of hell.

He so wasn't ;)

Cicero 05-17-2008 04:33 PM

Coffee. French press, ground whole foods, "island blend". If anyone likes coffee, one thing I can do is make a good pot.

Makes me think of this guy...there's me!

yep...and lots of other things happen in water too. I can't imagine how much bird shit I'm drinking too!

Pie 10-21-2008 09:35 PM

Box wine.

Urbane Guerrilla 10-23-2008 01:28 AM

Buffalo Bill's Brewery's Original Pumpkin Ale.

Punkin ales are becoming something of a seasonal traditon. Pyramid makes a famous one. BBB's OPA presents as less grainy and lighter-bodied, with a fruity note to it. Pyramid's is more pumpkin-y, or pumpkin pie-ish (had two slices of that tonight, virtuously sugar free), but either will do nicely.

Treasenuak 10-23-2008 10:57 AM

Rum n coke. Teh housemate is trying to get me onto various wines, but ... yuck. No offense to the wine-drinkers out there.

Cicero 10-23-2008 11:04 AM

At 11:00 in the morning? What a lush!!! :) I envy that!

I am having coffee with brown sugar. It appears as if I ran out of regular sugar and am almost out of half and half....The gross part? I think the brown sugar is about a year old, and I have been trying to chip at it like an iceberg, with a spoon.

Treasenuak 10-24-2008 09:26 AM

-chuckles- I'm only a lush on days ending in y... when I don't have to work. Or drive. Like today when I have the day off and it's raining to beat the band and cold outside.
