Nice pecs Joe :D
Nice pets too peoples. We have rats, two pet ones....Squeaky and Manny. Im not fond of rodents, mice scare me shitless...but I seem to have conquer the rat fear. Will take pics of the little blighters and their palace. |
I love rats. Domestic ones, I mean. I don't like them coming in uninvited :P
My brother always wanted pet rats. But mum pretty much drew the line there. Bless her she let him have snakes, tarantulas (though they only lived with us half the time since they were a shared project between him and his best mate), pirrahnas, assorted lizards, and various other critters. But she drew the line at rats. |

I love that look that Esme is giving! |
Esme........ Cool name. Never heard that one.
Beautiful dog also. He's in great shape, too. Mine are both fat. And lazy. |
And pick that nickel up off the floor.

A little while ago, I had a bit of a meltdown here about my dog, Andy. It was impossible to miss, I memorialized it in every groove-scorchin, mellow-harshin, wheaties-pissin thread we have. Good thing too, saved me from killin that idiot out of frustration. After trying countless times to get him in the house, and failing miserably each time, someone suggested I go take a picture. So I did. Here he is, Andy the Reluctant Outdoor Dog.

That was sad, and then I just started laughing. Really hard.
:lol2: |
Why don't you just go out and bring him in?
|
Yeah, he looks easy to catch!
Your dog is nuts. |
Dogs learn thru positive reinforcement. They learn to not come in to someone yelling and cursing at them or to someone repeating the same thing over and over.. No matter how mad you are at them to teach them to always come to you and no matter what, they have to think coming to you is a good thing and never ever punish a dog for coming to you, give him a piece of a hot dog instead. If he does not like hot dogs find something he loves even if its a toy. Reward him for coming to you but do not punish him if he does not. It might take you two weeks to get him to come to you every time but he will learn to do that. You have to be smarter and consistent.

He's a happy dog and he gets along fine with me and SonofV and Bora, our german shepherd in the house (and outside). Sleeps right at my feet, or behind the chair, comes to me when I call. Goes out fine. He's just super excitable and when it gets' wound up, he's impossible. *sigh* |
