I seriously hear that in my head when I read your name. It has a distinct tune and beat. :)

Isn't that a sign of mental illness?

infinite monkey 07-22-2011 08:27 AM

Ha!

Well, for me, it's not the first sign, and it won't be the last! ;)

When ever I think the word "vacuum" I have to spell it in my head. V-A-C-U-U-M vacuum.

infinite monkey 07-22-2011 08:37 AM

Now I'LL be doing that.

And echolalia-ing.

eta: I don't think that's the right word. Someone told me the correct word for repeating what you just said out loud, in your head, but I don't remember what it was. I think Clod told me the word? What was it?

I see that pre-empting the obvious comment did me no good at all.

I didn't read the whole thread first.

When I see sexobon's name I think of Cinnabons - sexy, yummy, sticky Cinnabons.

'Tis a curse.

Entire New Post to Ask DanaC -

What book/reference do you recommend for origins of English words?

DanaC 07-22-2011 10:18 AM

Generally I just google them :p

But stuff like the 'gossip' origin come from odds and sods in history programmes and books.
