Had a late lunch of Top Ramen chicken noodles. Fairly tasty.

Ramen has changed since I last had it many years ago. I used to make jokes about how bad it was, no taste, no flavor...Maybe my tastes have changed.

I retried it a few weeks ago at buddy's house. I retry stuff I don't like occasionally. I never liked okra as a kid, I kinda like fried okra, now. Same with boiled cabbage. I still don't like sweet potatoes, but, I think I want to. I can see how people would like that taste, and I don't want anyone to enjoy life more than me...

Gravdigr 11-23-2014 02:35 PM

Noodles.

Pamela 11-23-2014 05:45 PM

I skipped lunch today, but had cold, leftover, fried chicken for breakfast, with orange/mango juice to choke it down.

monster 11-24-2014 11:22 AM

Cadbury's Dairy Milk.

is this wrong?

Sundae 11-27-2014 10:10 AM

Better than mine anyway.
Nuffink.

It's all tasting a bit grim. And £ short anyway.
I did have a salad yesterday. With some cheese and half an egg, in a plastic box with a fork and everything .

Gravdigr 11-27-2014 04:13 PM

Sausage casserole, made it my own self.

:yum:

BigV 12-10-2014 03:56 PM

reheated vegetables, potatoes and broccoli, hot coffee, cold sparkling water (raspberry), and a fresh caesar salad made with half a head of romaine lettuce and butter and garlic croutons with romano caesar dressing. all that garnished with a delicate fillet of thumb, sliced ever so thinly.

ouch.

Thank you. ;)

bbro 02-16-2015 10:25 AM

Left over beef tamale pie. So good, but I need to get a different Chili Powder so it isn't too hot again. Thank goodness for greek yogurt to cool it down

Gravdigr 02-16-2015 12:48 PM

Snow.

Clodfobble 02-16-2015 01:38 PM

Leftover seasoned pork belly from the big Valentine's dinner that Mr. Clod cooked for me. He used this recipe. So freaking good.

busterb 02-24-2015 11:15 AM

Spinach and Potato Frittata

bbro 02-24-2015 12:46 PM

Pasta with sauce, turkey sausage, peppers and onions. Covered in cheese.

xoxoxoBruce 02-24-2015 10:00 PM

That sounds like cold weather food. ;)

bbro 02-25-2015 07:37 AM

Oh yea. It was awesome!!

Gravdigr 02-27-2015 02:06 PM

Ramen noodles

Sundae 03-01-2015 07:05 AM

Just can't eat at the moment.
May get something while the supermarkets are open, just because everything shuts after 16.00 and I might change my mind!

It might just be a bar of choc though. Something to keep my blood sugar up while I throw off this lassitude. Or maybe it really is a physical illness...? Hard to tell when I'm well capable of worrying myself literally sick :(

infinite monkey 03-01-2015 07:19 AM

Worrying yourself sick: boy I understand that.

Eat something sort of good for you...or at least not bad for you, but something with a lot of flavor...whatever in that arena appeals to you. For me, it'd be some kind of pasta probably.

bbro 03-04-2015 07:50 AM

FINALLY I get to eat my soup and burger I brought Monday. Chicken and garlic soup and just a plain burger. Both homemade, though and much better than the crap I was forced to eat yesterday at a team lunch.

bbro 03-04-2015 12:33 PM

........I should've just had the soup. SO FULL!

busterb 03-06-2015 11:30 PM

whole grain Rotini swiss mac with crab meat.

Sundae 03-09-2015 11:42 AM

I had quinoa from a street vendor today. It wasn't a superfood.
He'd fried it up - I found it slightly greasy in texture and over-flavoured. I always boiled my quinoa, and ate it as part of a meal rather than cooking other things in with it.

Oh well, live and learn.

Undertoad 03-09-2015 12:14 PM

Chick-Fil-A 4 Intolerance Strips and Medium Fruit Cup AGAIN

~ i need to boycott these m-f'ers or at least remember to bring in my sammich ~

fargon 03-09-2015 12:27 PM

Keebler peanut butter cheese crackers, and iced coffee. Al fresco.

glatt 03-09-2015 12:58 PM

a sammich and an apple

bbro 03-10-2015 06:44 AM

Couscous, chicken and asparagus. I am not sure if I am putting it in the fridge or not. It would over cook if I nuked it, but I don't want it cold. I may leave it out and warm up with a 15 sec nuke at lunch time

Jack in the Box...and I'm sorry I suggested it. My food was a greasy mess (more than it should be) and they forgot to give my wife her food.

bbro 03-23-2015 11:52 AM

Cheese filled lasagna rolls. I can't wait!!

xoxoxoBruce 04-22-2015 11:22 AM

bbro, had your oven fries again, scrumdillyicious.

Do you want more Bay Scallops?

No, I'll just finish off these oven fries.

I should have taken more care in making the slices evenly sized.

NO! It's better like this, more variety. They range from potato-y goodness in the center, to crunchy like a potato chip. :yum:

Gravdigr 04-22-2015 01:55 PM

What's for lunch? Supper!

A huge ground venison steak, black-eyed peas, Spanish rice.

Yeah, I eat early on Wednesdays, $5 domestic buckets starts at 4pm, and the place closes at 9pm, so, yeah, I eat early on Wednesdays.

:jig:

LOL - fantastic! I always have a range of sizes. The burnt ones make me sad. Try putting on different seasonings when you are tossing them in the olive oil. My favorite is spicy seasoning, baking, then covering with cheese and bacon and dipping in ranch. Oh yea. Now THAT'S a dinner.

I had leftover pizza for lunch today. I need to buy more potatoes....

busterb 04-27-2015 08:43 PM

Friday a friend came by, we had fried shrimp, oysters and hush puppies

Mmm lunch. Of course it was unhealthy, but cheap & tasty.
The only reason I wouldn't go is Ray Kroc was Nixon's #1 contributor.

Lunch with Limey on Thursday.
I will write it up properly somewhere.

I had cheese & pickle ciabatta sandwich.
Came with leaves, pomegranate seeds and balsamic dressing, and a little pot of coleslaw (which I gave to Limey, as she likes and I don't).
Attachment 52875

And a vanilla milkshake.
Attachment 52876

Limey had mackerel pate and toast, and a strawberry and rhubarb soft drink.
Her food was very good too, but the bottled drink was a little too sweet (too much strawberry said Lines, not enough rhubarb).

Lunch in Mendoza's on Aylesbury High Street yesterday.
My parents, despite the evidence of their eyes, have decided I need feeding up.
(well TBF it is really more about nutrition than the size I am)

Dad's cheese & ham omelette.
Looked a bit rubbery to be, but he proclaimed it good and ate more than he usually would.
Attachment 52892

Mum's Hoisin Duck Wrap. She admitted - shame-faced - that this was what she always had. Good for her, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. She'll get bored with it in her own time and move on.
Attachment 52893

And my steak & blue cheese salad.
A few more cherry tomatoes than I was prepared to eat (palmed off on Mum) but no pesky hidden cucumber. I cleared my plate.

Gravdigr's Sausage Casserole

1 pound sausage (or ground beef, or ground venison, or, or) cooked w/a little Worcestershire sauce and liquid smoke
Cheese - cubed (as much as you like)
2 cups macaroni (cooked)
Cheese
A small onion, diced
Cheese
A small green pepper, diced
Cheese
1 15 oz can diced tomatoes (if you really like tomatoes, use two cans)
Cheese
1 15 oz can tomato sauce
Cheese
1 teaspoon sugar

Pour everything in a casserole dish and mix together.

For the topping:

one tube/package saltine crackers (or non salted, if you avoid salt), crumbled, mixed with one stick melted butter, spread evenly on top of the mixed casserole.

I cook the peppers and onions and ground meat together. I usually cook my casserole for 20 minutes at 350. All you're really doing is just warming up the already-cooked ingredients, anyway. Just enough to barely brown the cracker topping.

Enjoy. Let us know how yours comes out!
