Awesome job Spencer!

I know it's not a distinction, but Aden got a credit for his first piece of uni assessment. He was happy, and I was happy, so I guess that's a good start. :)

Chris, that girl is gorgeous. Looks like she's full of personality. :)
Nice one Spencer! I loved pottery in HS too. We did that sort of glazing. It's gorgeous. He could make lots of money at markets selling stuff like that. :) |
My daughter was invited to present the paper she wrote for her science fair at the state science fair thing. I wasn't expecting it. Her experiment on magnet strength at different temperatures had really bizarre and inconsistent results, but I guess she wrote it up well. (I never did read the final paper she wrote.) But we're off to Richmond in May.

Cools.

You don't supposed they want to present her as an example of a bright student with a good experiment, failed for lack of parental support, do you? :lol2:

Nice! Dwellar hands-off parenting scores again.

Haha glatt. Good job to your daughter, but another haha to you. :lol2:

But, but, I thought Mom was handling that.
Don't hand me that buster, you know science fair is your territory. :lol2: Well is fairness to the adults, when kids hole up in their room it's hard the keep track of them, especially if they're good kids that don't stir up shit. |
Happens all the time with Mav in particular. Mum, can you sign this, I have to hand it in tomorrow. He'll even come in and wake me up at midnight because he knows he wont see me in the morning. Well, he did once. Only once.

I never did that with my parents, but in college I soon realized that all my adviser did was to check that I didn't have any class conflicts. I thought "I can do that much myself" so for about the last 3 years of college I just forged his initials on the form and he never knew any better. It seems he wasn't keeping track of who he signed for, and who he didn't. |

Finally got to meet grandchild #14, Caitllin Mary Rosa She is now 3 months old and she and her mother are on a short stay in Seattle until they venture up to Gustavus, Alaska where they will stay with her brother and his wife for the summer. Funny feeling when your babies are all grown up and have their own babies!
I took quite a few pictures but got this nice one of mother and daughter yesterday afternoon. Played with it in Lightroom and got this: |
