Be that cockney? Carrollese?

I've always been a fan of the triple-ha-no-spaces, but that was mostly a reaction to the overuse of LOL a decade ago. I don't have a particular problem with it, but it just reads like a comment. If I actually laugh out loud, I spell it out for 'em.

I used to do that ... but I got used to using lol as it was easier to type one handed whilst also controlling my avatar during a pvp duel :P

Sorry, the scotch egg WAS the most perfect food yet invented by mankind, then along came the El Salvadoran pupusas! Though I still do hanker for a good scotch egg from time to time!

Them's just fancy pasties, them is. I don't need no high-falutin' El Salvador city slicker to tell me how to eat a Welsh meat pie.

monster 09-04-2009 01:22 PM

Welsh?

Flint 09-04-2009 01:24 PM

What we know of as "pasties" were eaten by Welsh miners, who held them by the thick-crusted edge with their dirty miner's hands, and threw the crust out when they were done. According to my mother-in-law who is obsessed with all things Celtic.

You just said "pasties" and "meat pie" in the same post. My immature self giggled. It must be Friday.

Datalyss 09-04-2009 01:44 PM

Ok, I didn't see the relevant question:

Do you (UT) mean LOL is overused, or the :lol: smiley?

Queen of the Ryche 09-04-2009 01:52 PM

sorry. MISG. H. (that's for Haggis.)

DanaC 09-04-2009 01:58 PM

pasty = Cornish:)

Queen of the Ryche 09-04-2009 01:59 PM
