I was tripped up by Porsche/Ferrari. I don't recall the other one. Versace.

Can you name these 11 classic trucking movies from just a single screenshot?

Attachment 57261

xoxoxoBruce 07-05-2016 02:09 PM

6 also.

glatt 07-05-2016 02:11 PM

4, but I only knew 2.

Pico and ME 07-05-2016 05:49 PM

4 but I only knew 3

fargon 07-06-2016 06:28 AM

6 But I had only seen 2 movies.

glatt 07-06-2016 07:34 AM

Actually, Convoy was kind of obvious, even though I never saw it. So I'll say I knew 3 of them.

footfootfoot 07-06-2016 10:00 AM

4 but I only really knew Convoy. Ironic because when I was growing up my best friend's step dad was a trucker.

BigV 07-06-2016 08:50 PM

7, not bad. MISSED Convoy

orthodoc 07-06-2016 09:05 PM

4, including Convoy. Have to defer to glatt.

Truckin' 4, I guessed them all. I've seen convoy many times, but many years ago. who in the hell knew there was more than one movie about trucks?

fargon 07-08-2016 08:51 PM

I passed the citizenship test with a 58. Citizenship attained, with distinction

Was one of them Duel? I don't know any other movies about trucks.

How good are you with guns
I got a 97%.

xoxoxoBruce 07-09-2016 12:25 PM

The fucking thing said, "can't find page" after a dozen questions and made me start over. :mad2:
It said I got 97% but they are full of shit. Pointing up is always the safest, otherwise somebody's is going to lose a foot.
Now I have to load arrows for my triggerless shotgun.

Gravdigr 07-09-2016 01:53 PM

I missed three questions. I don't remember what the questions were, but, I remember thinking "Well that's just bullshit" after I saw what they said was the correct answer.

footfootfoot 07-10-2016 08:47 PM

97%
Apparently I don't need to transfer ownership to a family member through a dealer.

glatt 07-12-2016 09:47 AM

97% and I'm not even a gun guy.

The Higher Lower Game - What gets Googled more?

They start by giving you a subject, and then you guess if the second subject has a higher or lower average monthly search count.

That's not a good explanation. Here's an example:

They'll tell you that the search term "NASA" has, on average, 1,000,000 monthly searches. Then, they'll give you a second subject, like, "Princess Diana". You have to guess which has more searches in a month.

It's simpler than I'm making it sound. My explainer no work good today.

It's addictive.;)

We were watching the People's Choice Awards a couple years ago and were dismayed at all the acts that were winning and the great acts that were losing. And then I realized: The winner would be the person my Mother In Law would like more. So for each category, we considered which one my MIL would like, and that was the person/act who always won. We understood after that.

I suspect this Google game is very similar. Just ask yourself, who would glatt's MIL Google first?

glatt 07-15-2016 02:16 PM

I got 0 then 7.

Some are easy. Some are really hard.

Gravdigr 07-15-2016 02:25 PM

Factoid from The Higher Lower Game:

Ryanair gets over 20,000,000 searches/month.:3_eyes:

fargon 07-15-2016 03:25 PM

I just scored a 15. And I just learned that Ryanair gets 20,000,000 searches a month, even before Gravdigr told me.

Clodfobble 07-15-2016 09:00 PM

By chance I have learned three times that bulimia gets 368,000 per month.

BigV 07-15-2016 09:03 PM

I ran across several of these 'Find The Whatsit' the other day...

Find the Oscar statue among the C3POs:

Attachment 57516

glatt 08-07-2016 08:29 PM

That was difficult for me. Harder than most of these kinds of things.

glatt 08-07-2016 08:32 PM

And the cat was impossible. I had to cheat, and I'll be damned if it isn't right there!

BigV 08-07-2016 09:01 PM

Both fun, . I found the cat immediately. Lucky, I must have a nose for it, or something.

bbro 08-08-2016 09:24 AM

I had to cheat on the stupid cat one, but I found Oscar with no problem. WTF. :|

Gravdigr 08-08-2016 12:54 PM

The Oscar Search had my eyes darting all over the place. I could not maintain my search grid no matter how hard I tried.

Clodfobble 08-08-2016 01:03 PM

It seems like most of those "find the X in the Y" pictures have the thing you're looking for in the lower right quadrant. I wonder if that's me misremembering, or a natural inclination to feel like the lower right is more innocuous than the others.

Gravdigr 08-11-2016 03:55 PM

This one is particularly difficult.

Find the frog:

Attachment 57537

footfootfoot 08-11-2016 08:36 PM

the oscar was dead simple, as was the dog. I had a cat who would hide in the woodpile and snack on sparrows all day. I can't find the cat because a) I'm assuming it is in the woodpile as my cat was or b) my eyes are having trouble with tiny images. can I embiggen it?

I think I see the frog.

Yeah, a blurry cat is a rubbish hidden thing.

Clodfobble 08-11-2016 10:55 PM

No frog for me. :(

Gravdigr 08-12-2016 06:30 AM

When looking for a hidden animal (talking 'bout real animals in a real photo, or irl) always look for the eye (well, most of the time).

Spoiler hint: There is a large leaf in the center(ish) of the photo. Just to the right, there is a vertical frog on a vertical leaf. It is nearly the exact same color as the leaf, but you can see the dark, horizontal stripe (which is vertical in the pic) on it's eye. It's almost all you can see of him, he's so well camouflaged. Just the frog's right is another similar-sized leaf. Froggie is between the two largest leaves in the center/center-right of the pic.:)
