Naldo, the username is easy to figure out... it's been the suspected username since we started trying to figure it out... The password is believed to be something like Paradise Lost or something similar, however the host only allows for 8 character passwords so Paradise (anything) will work!

I finished Dance Dance Dance yesterday. Shovel that good snow is how the main character described a night with Mei, the prostitute. I don't think this was posted before.

The part about "There was nothing I could do. He had disappeared." was about Gotanda, the main character's friend. They were havin' some drinks at a bar to discuss the murder of Kiki. When the main character went to get more beers Gotanda left and killed himself.

What is the date of the countdown? I can't remember it.

Hi everyone, I'm new here and have been using this thread to try to solve TIMP (like most of the other posters here.) I haven't come across any breakthroughs, but to aid you in your search I'm going to create a map of what's been discovered thus far. I'll probably get around to updating it within a day or two of a new discovery so you gotta have patience.

Oh, and I'll post the map sometime soon, it's not finished yet.



Also what do you guys think is going on during June 6th? Did someone google that? It might not be as much of a countdown as it is a clue. You should check for some special event on that day.

I googled the countdown date and time, got nothing. Is there any significance in the fact that we don't know whether it's AM or PM? And why is June, a four-letter word, abreviated?

I was reading over this thread (which I printed, in it's entirety) in the free time I had after my high-school semester final exams and came up with a bunch of stuff:
-Regarding the 'Hide Your Sorrows' to the Miska said that "Shovel that good snow" was taken from a scene in DDD; could someone who has the book check that section of it for a reference to a candle (or maybe a lighthouse)
-For the distorted tunnel you can find by going to the Frankenstein page, I can't try it untill later but I think you might be able undistort the image. It looks like nothing's been changed but a simple swirl: maybe there's something there?


Reguarding CelestialChick's findings: I think the second line might be "Bigger Questions Remain", and the first one could go either way ("Hints are Riddles" or "Riddles are Hints")

How is it that you've read through and even printed this entire thread, and yet you missed the point where the location and password of the TINP forums was provided?

They've all missed the point that some of the most important clues* can be found by actively participating in the Cellar.

Did anyone try searching "wreathus" on google? I got the name wreathus from searching "Ijselmeer, tragedy, boy". There's a bunch of numbers and mixed up sentences that look like they could be hints.

And also a certain name came up a few times "Noemata". There's a good chance it has nothing to do with TINP...

Turns out the countdown date is the 61st anniversary of D-Day. Might be significant, might not. There are a lot of World War references though, like the Navajo code and the radio transmissions in the background of some pages.

Conspiracy Theory:

TINP is planning something, or is perhaps just taking a joke a little too far to scare people. All over the page we find creepy messages like "a life half lived" and the "help I'm drowning" page. (This has been brought up before but) maybe TINP knows of something that will happen on Jun 6, either that, or he's going to make something happen. The web-site may be the key to stopping whatever event TINP has planned. :eek:

Has anyone gotten close to solving "Audition, Death of a Travelling Salesman"? Does anyone have any new ideas?

This is what I figure:
In a Wild Sheep chase, the Rat mentions that he was at one point a traveling salesman, and he later on dies. So he might have something to do with it, or then again I could be wrong.
Also as chance has it, I was watching Family Guy the other day (there's something about Paulie) and Meg had auditioned for the Death of a Salesman.
For Audition however...no clue :(

Audition was a japenese movie, really weird movie. Good none the less though, worth a watch. Look up the plot for more info. Considering the movie it probably does have something to do with the site. Well that's my two cents :thumbsup:

I also finally took that distorted tunnel into photoshop and unswirled it, there's nothing there though.

About the candle/lighthouse and its possible connection the "Shovel that Good Snow" - I would have to re-read the whole book to find the exact place where he said something about shoveling good snow. He mentions shoveling snow a lot. He uses it mainly to describe his job, he says that it's like shoveling snow - someone has to do it.

If it is a lighthouse and not a candle, there is one connection I can make, Gotanda drove his Maserati (The one with the 'Curse of the Maserati) into the ocean. You find lighthouses by the ocean.

WE ARE CONNECTED - That is what the main character realized. He realized that he, Mei, Kiki, Yuki, Gotanda, The Organization, The Sheepman, Ame, Dick North, and pretty much everyone else was connected. He later made a diagram.

I am 14 years old, so i do not have as much intelligence to offer here as other members do, but i have experience. I have a member of the forums for Videogamedc, GameFAQs, TINP, and of course yours. In each I have persued TINP with minimal success. in VGDC, it died after 8 pages. I have information about TINP that you do not have posted here, yet I cannot think of aff the top of my head. ask me various questions and I will look them up. in GameFAQs, they made it to the page with the car driving away and the music. this brings up a fact. that song that is playing is the theme song from the video game "Alien", I think. it was on the Atari if i recall. ill get my source in a bit. I am reading the Wind-Up Bird Chronicle and there is a character named Noboru Wataya. I am not that far into the book but I have learned that he raped Malta Kano's sister and that Mr. Okada (the main character) named his cat after him. He is the main character's brother in law.

Overlord was the biggest amphibious operation in the history of modern warfare. Does that have anything to do with anything? Also I noticed there is allot of stuff in dutch. The music is said to be a Christmas carol backwards... I'm trying to get my hands on a copy of the reversed audio so I can hear for myself. They're taking apart the video at the TINP forums (www.thisisnotporn.com/forums/index.php) so I suggest you all check that out for more information.

Also, if you're having trouble opening the video, the video will work with Winamp and the audio will work with the DivX player. I haven't found anything yet that will play it all togather.

I'm pretty sure it's always done that...
