Pissed him off, by God.

Clodfobble 11-27-2015 02:45 PM

That was interesting, Grav. I've always been fascinated by that sort of "Yeah, we're at war, but these are things we don't do" rules. Thanks for posting it.

You're very welcome.

http://cellar.org/2015/Purdey.jpg
Now ain't that Purdey as a picture?

Now Purdey was always as good as the best, for the last couple of centuries, they kept up with technology consistently. That engraving in the metalwork and fit/finish in the woodwork is flawless. But you know all that pretty doesn't put an extra ounce of meat on the table, There are much, much, much, cheaper guns that will do as well providing supper.
However an up to date technologically, hand built flawlessly, dressed up prettily, shotgun, is gonna be pricey. Guess that's why they start at about $140,000. :speechls:

fargon 12-03-2015 06:04 AM

I think that shotgun is to pretty to shoot.

How about this one?
Oops, this 1998 gun's sold, $42,500 + $8,925 buyers premium, new Fabbris start at $100,000.

Gravdigr 12-06-2015 01:43 PM

The case is nearly identical to the one posted above. For that kind of money, I'd like a little more difference.

Beautiful weapons.

What, you don't eat chocolate and pistachio with the same spoon?
Now he's gonna say he doesn't eat pistachio

The reason they look similar is they both have all the features of a first class gun case, soft interior, lock, double straps, bolstered corners, and completely stitched leather. Plus it has the traditional conservative look rich dudes want. When they're out and about, they don't want to be upstaged by their chauffer, personal assistant, minion, carrying a wild and crazy case. :haha:
