She also gave me eye drops, that may be contraindicated for people with COPD. I called and left a message, nurse called back, took info. No word since.
I'm not trying to 2nd guess the DR. She might not be aware on my health problems, because she is at the UMMC, not VA. In fact she's # 2 in op??????? eye dept.

Ophthalmology. Don't forget the first H, like everyone does.:p:

What are the drops?

ZenGum 12-03-2011 05:06 PM

Ophthalmologist is a killer in crosswords.

Those are glaucoma meds. I don't know enough to tell you why you're on them.

I was talking to my brother last night and asked him about the Dorzolamine.
He got all excited and then started talking about ocular or eyeball pressure ?? for 20 mins.
After talking about his goose hunt and negotiating a trade of one goose
for 2 packages of the mushrooms I got thats all I remember.

Why, were they magic mushrooms?

classicman 12-05-2011 10:48 AM

lol - no. Just some that I harvested. Grifola frondosa - A very tasty wild that he doesn't get much of where he lives.

Hope things are getting better for you BB. Are you by any chance losing peripheral vision?

busterb 12-05-2011 05:07 PM

Sam. Nope. The drops are for pressure in eye

Does that mean it's actually pronounced "Off-thalmology," like "Diff-theria?"

Yes. It's confusing because the other "eye doctor" is an Optometrist, with no "h". I love it when someone comes in to see the Obstetrician.:D Yes, it's not uncommon. Close enough, they all start with "O", right?

monster 12-06-2011 10:01 PM

not as close as pediatrician and pedophile.....

"No, ma'am, but I'll look into it for you"

New glasses came yesterday, after a month. No joy for right eye. Return to DR 3/4/2012.

glatt 02-08-2012 11:44 AM

Geez. I'm sorry Buster.
