I just thought that was cruel.

glatt 11-23-2011 08:05 AM

He learned that he can't trust those assholes he's hanging out with. That's a valuable lesson right there, and he learned it at a young age.

Griff 11-23-2011 08:15 AM

I'm guessing those assholes are blood relatives. That kid needs to move far far away.

glatt 11-23-2011 08:40 AM

True, but at least he knows that next time one of them wants him to put on a blindfold or make some other act of trust, that he should not fall for it.

Hopefully he doesn't learn that it's something he can do to the next young kid that comes along.

infinite monkey 11-23-2011 08:49 AM

Maybe he's fallen for it like 9 thousand times. Maybe he's like Charlie Brown, and those rednecks are his Lucy?

glatt 11-23-2011 08:59 AM

I fear you may be right. Or varieties of it anyway. His intelligence is probably similar to theirs.

infinite monkey 11-23-2011 09:02 AM

"What Ah REQWAR is that you gitcher ass back up in them woods!"

BigV 11-23-2011 09:04 AM

footfootfoot 11-23-2011 11:59 AM

One of my favorite S 'n' O bits:

I remember a three way street with your wife and the librarian girl, now that's TRUE lovin'!

BigV 11-23-2011 12:53 PM

did someone say three way?

Here's Porchia and Stacey to help us all out.

Griff 11-24-2011 08:55 AM

infinite monkey 11-24-2011 10:01 AM

Griff you suck!

This video is designed to drive people insane. The looney bins must be running low on patients.

I love that programme!

BigV 11-27-2011 01:08 PM

You, DanaC, deserve the credit for this. You and your Marcus Brigstocke. The clip about religion, and another... I loved them. I showed them to SonofV. Now, he's a fan, a really big fan. And he brings me things like this from BBC *all the time*.

Your fault, it's your fault!

BigV 11-29-2011 03:31 PM

Where's my chips?

BigV 11-29-2011 03:33 PM

Those were the days, my friend!

Ha!

The cult of the Brigster spreads...

There's been a shake up at Argumental. New host and new team captains. I miss Brigstocke, but his replacement Robert Webb is also very funny. The new host is one of my favourite comedians, Sean Lock.

Here's a taster from ep 1: (with Jimmy Carr as a guest) oh, and not entirely safe for work or young children.

Cultural notes: B&B = Bed and Breakfast = guest house; George Osborne = the Chancellor of the Exchequer

DanaC 11-29-2011 04:57 PM

And just for shits and giggles, here's a clip from QI:

BigV 12-14-2011 10:16 AM

Preach it brother!

BigV 12-20-2011 12:03 PM

Some seasonal cheer!

What in the hell has Stephen Fry done with his hair? Did a timelord take him back to a 70s barber?

infinite monkey 12-22-2011 10:36 AM

Ha! I found this SNL audition with Dana Carvey doing the broccoli song (brought it up in the Kitchen Sink Poems thread.) OMG he's so young! It still makes me lmao.To my broccoli-choppin' friends:

plthijinx 12-23-2011 06:37 PM

infinite monkey 01-04-2012 06:06 PM

Stupid cat!

warning: sound not safe for work or children.

Just a silly song about a cat, and the video is adorable. For cat lovers...

classicman 01-12-2012 12:17 PM

Heeeeeeeeeeeeere's Static Puppy!!

infinite monkey 01-12-2012 12:21 PM

Hilarious!

BigV 01-13-2012 04:12 PM

OMG BWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAHAHHAHAAAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!!

BigV 01-13-2012 08:08 PM

That was comedy.

This is tragedy.

Lamplighter 01-13-2012 10:01 PM

I recognized Canon Beach (Oregon)

The comments say it was 1 month ago. But it looked more like what I
would have expected back at the time of the tsunami from Japan.

In any case, losing a Canon camera is something of a tragedy.

P.S. Those "roller" logs in the Oreogn surf are killers... 1-3 people each year
... stay away, far away from them !
.

Clodfobble 01-14-2012 07:06 AM

Are more logs falling in the surf each year, or is it the same logs, too big to catch before they roll back out to sea, and someday a gnarly old seafarer is going to take the local sherif and a scientist out to catch them, only to realize too late that they're gonna need a bigger boat?

Lamplighter 01-14-2012 07:58 AM

Flooded rivers (esp Columbia) bring a fresh supply each year.

classicman 01-16-2012 12:00 PM

I hate to say this, but the "bad guy" reminded me a little of UT for a moment.

I've seen that video before, and it was waaaaaaay over a month ago.

DanaC 01-16-2012 02:26 PM

Time for a random QI episode...

Not sure if I have posted this before. I keep no record and there are a fuckton of episodes:P

He's Sexy And He Knows It.

Chuckle-worthy.

infinite monkey 01-20-2012 07:43 AM

I heard about this on the morning radio show I listen to on the way to work. I laughed my head off watching it. But I had to get past that damn spider on the screen, I can't even stand pictures of them...and this is one of those damn jumpers that attack your face from 50 yards away. At least that's what I think will happen.

Anyway, this is really funny. But I would have to kill someone. ;)

infinite monkey 01-20-2012 03:45 PM

Another phobia clip.

I certainly don't want to make light of someone's phobia. I realize people are irrationally scared of many things (for me, as most of you know it's spiders.)

But this woman is afraid of snowmen and they open the curtain and there is the creepiest freaking snowman just standing there, smiling. And what is up with the horse?

:lol2:

I'm sorry, maybe it won't strike anyone else the way it did me but it really tickled my funny bone.

sullage 01-21-2012 12:57 PM

not as funny as someone shooting themselves in a police interrogation room, but close.

classicman 01-22-2012 01:04 PM

Not really funny, more amazing. I'm still in disbelief.

zippyt 01-22-2012 01:52 PM

I say Photo shop

classicman 01-22-2012 02:17 PM

Its gotta be - right?

Lamplighter 01-22-2012 03:53 PM

How about a cup with a skin of pre-chilled gelatin, agar, wonder-chemical, etc ?

Gravdigr 01-23-2012 05:43 PM

I bet it would actually be fun getting shot at with these guys.

Marines, go figger...

You should have heard the Wimpering at swim Qual !!!

DanaC 01-26-2012 04:46 PM

Cultural notes: Boots (the Chemist) is our leading pharmacy and beauty products chain. And this: http://www.celebs101.com/gallery/Chr...wd_Picture.jpg is Chris O'Dowd.

Griff 01-28-2012 10:14 AM

loved the guitar hero riff!

DanaC 01-28-2012 09:07 PM

You are not jamming!

Sundae 01-29-2012 11:34 AM

Me and my bafflement with faces.
I'd have watched most of it thinking it was Chris O'Dowd if not for your header.

Then again, I thought Chris O'Dowd was Richard Ayoade's name.
Not helped by the fact they both appeared in Festival.

DanaC 01-29-2012 12:01 PM

In fairness they are quite alike. There's a definate similarity to look at and they have a similar manner to them.

Griff 01-29-2012 01:02 PM

Pete says all us middle-aged white guys look alike. She makes a good point.

plthijinx 02-01-2012 11:46 AM

happy early valentines!!

BigV 02-01-2012 12:24 PM

I'm looking for Valentine's Day ideas, thanks! You've shortened my list by one.

infinite monkey 02-01-2012 12:50 PM

That's either fake or total mental abuse. I'll put a mad face in just in case it isn't faked.

Not right.
