Hey! JHC is my cousin.

LabRat 09-19-2007 12:21 PM

You've got a few mistakes in there...I corrected them for you.

Poster # 1: It's an obscure reference that I feel under no obligation to explain...because I'm feeling lazy (total paranoid freak who thinks she should be the center of everyone's thoughts beginning to get suspicious that poster #2 might be attacking her when in fact she just didn't get the joke.)

Poster # 1:Total meltdown

Later that night, poster #2's husband tells her he didn't get the reference either, but that LJ's picture of the dog's balls made him laugh to the point of tears. He also chides poster #2 for bringing conflict wherever she goes...Poster #2 told him to shove it.

Shawnee123 09-19-2007 12:24 PM

That was a meltdown? Um, er, eh, who isn't letting it go?

I don't expect you, or your husband, to get any of my jokes. Despite your 38000 on the ACT, I've not been impressed with your stellar intelligence.

Just keep doing your one trick, pony. When you stray from that you get lost, confused, and paranoid.

Laughable. Again, I say you have NEVER been interested in any thing I've said before (even a few lame attempts to be nice to you) until you think it has something remotely to do with you.

I think I should be the center of everyone's thoughts? When someone else gets the tiniest bit of attention you start bumping your ass shots, or posting your pasty-looking pasties. As far as lazy, that's even funnier...I have no problem typing this; I must have felt more like you're not worth the effort. So, Lazy for Labrat.

Now, go lay down.

Yeah, you should have let it go.

LabRat 09-19-2007 01:50 PM

Well, You are right about one thing. I should have let it go.

My apologies to the rest of the Cellar.

HungLikeJesus 09-19-2007 03:20 PM

Oh, no! Now even the cool kids are getting hot.

[That's intended as a compliment to both of you.]

lookout123 09-19-2007 05:12 PM

why is it that every thread lately seems to devolve into a personal battle where people have to pick sides? It feels like the cellar has been replaced with an online version of Big Brother.

Undertoad 09-19-2007 05:40 PM

In this deeply fractured society, it is now an option to believe that the other side is not just incorrect, not just wrong, not even just stupid, but actually broken.

Jimbo...thanks for the PM big fella. ;)

It's nice that you feel that way about me, but honestly, remember that you're a married man!

lumberjim 09-19-2007 08:47 PM

jinx doesn't mind if i send pictures of myself in nothing but hipwaders and a sombrero to people as long as i swear them to secrecy. so....it's cool, baby.

Aliantha 09-19-2007 08:57 PM

But what about the one with the rooster in it?

lumberjim 09-19-2007 09:26 PM

that's a cock.

Aliantha 09-19-2007 09:37 PM

Yeah...the big black one.

bigw00dy 09-21-2007 10:12 AM

Im all about getting PM's
(although I never get them)

lumberjim 09-25-2007 02:53 PM

i got a long pm last night. it contained a message that i think should have been put right in a thread. should i treat it as confidential? the person made no mention of secrecy or confidence. just demands that I change what I do. I think it's worse to try to influence behind the scenes than it is to spill a pm like this.

someone referred to 'the word on the street' today.....made me think they'd been chatting back and forth in pm about someone else.

lame

bluecuracao 09-25-2007 02:59 PM

Ask 'em whether they mind if you bring it to the light of day--I'm all curious now.
