Gravdigr 09-18-2016 01:17 PM

Now I'm hungry.

gameforchild 10-10-2016 11:26 PM

I have a bread

Gravdigr 10-11-2016 01:56 PM

Are you a cat?

xoxoxoBruce 10-11-2016 02:30 PM

No no, bread is for ducks. :lol2:

Gravdigr 11-22-2016 02:04 PM

Today's lunch was a half-pound ground venison steak with tater tots, the kind with tiny pieces of onion in them.:yum:

Griff 11-22-2016 04:42 PM

Oh, hell yeah!

Gravdigr 11-22-2016 04:56 PM

Yeah, the old man took a young doe last week. Fucked up shoulder, can't pull his bow at all. In KY you can hunt regular bow season with a crossbow with just a note from your doctor.

Hasn't hunted for a couple years, but just couldn't sit out another season.

This made bow kill number 74 for Popdigr. He's shooting his age!

Gravdigr 11-22-2016 04:57 PM

Bowhunting 60 years this year, btw.

Griff 11-22-2016 04:58 PM

The man is hardcore.

Gravdigr 11-23-2016 01:32 PM

Chili flavor Ramen, w/a little dab of that ground venison.

Tasty.

BigV 12-09-2016 07:15 PM

Over the course of the last few days I've been working on making the components for a batch of borscht. Today it all came together.

My god, so, so goddamn good.

bbro 01-03-2017 12:55 PM

Salad and chicken thigh that was supposed to be "spicy, sweet, and sticky" It was sweet. Good flavor, though. I am going to try again with the proper amount of chicken to see if it makes a difference

Rest of the week will be chicken and cauliflower.

Gravdigr 01-07-2017 03:25 PM

What's For Lunch?

Failure.

BigV 01-23-2017 08:38 PM

With ashes for dessert.

...sucks.

Gravdigr 01-24-2017 12:21 PM

No, no, no...

It's ashes & regret. Failure and despair.

Gosh.

Gravdigr 01-24-2017 12:22 PM

It's like you don't even know me.

xoxoxoBruce 01-24-2017 12:45 PM

That's called a hangover... or lack of one.;)

bbro 01-24-2017 01:22 PM

Grav - I feel like I should be sending you food....

captainhook455 01-24-2017 07:16 PM

We had Vietnamese stew for dinner. I didn't have any pencil onions so just used a white onion. Pencil onions add color , but taste the same. Getting harder to find Nissan noodles. I ran out of my hot sauce, but had an emergency bottle of IGA store brand. Good stuff. I could drink this and will in a bloody mary shortly.

captainhook455 01-24-2017 07:33 PM

By the way down heah dinner is lunch and supper is dinner. Took me awhile to learn Redneck as a third language.

glatt 01-24-2017 07:50 PM

Pencil onions! Funny.

Never heard them called that before.

sexobon 01-24-2017 08:14 PM

Dinner is the biggest meal of the day. Supper is always the evening meal. Lunch or supper can be dinner. To hear you tell it, both lunch and supper are dinner. Either the biggest meal of the day down there isn't very big; or, you're gonna get fat!

bbro 01-26-2017 01:31 PM

Bad Daddy Burger!!! I got one with American cheese, shoestring potatoes, bacon, and spicy ketchup. Tater tots on the side, of course

Gravdigr 01-27-2017 10:22 AM

Ever had a hash brown burger?

Hamburger/cheeseburger with hash browns on it.:yum:

xoxoxoBruce 01-27-2017 12:54 PM

Hash browns (grease & salt), go with everything. :D

Gravdigr 01-27-2017 01:05 PM

Especially at 3 am when you're drunker than Cootie Brown.

Lunch today was two Junior Whoppers from Burger King. Tasty.

Lunch is chicken Ramen w/a pouch of Starkist Sweet & Spicy Tuna in it.

Tasty.

bbro 05-03-2017 01:43 PM

Man - I would kill for some Ramen. I haven't had it in years. I used to cook it and dump out the broth and just eat the noodles

captainhook455 05-03-2017 09:30 PM

I am not fond of the chicken or shrimp, but that tuna. Yup thanks I'll look for that at Wally world.

That's because you can't tune a chicken or a shrimp but you can tuna fish.

I only use about 2/3s the water it calls for.

I can't taste the shrimp Ramen at all. Tastes like ya left out the flavor packet.

Another thing I use to help the Ramen is a handful of bell peppers and onions. I get a bag of frozen peppers & onions a keep them in the freezer, toss them in when the water boils.

Ok I bought one of those square copper pans with the glass lid. One of my grands was at the house. She saw me start to prepare some cheap steak for a beef stew. I got out the Adolf's.

Whats that for pa pa? (children are so stupid )
I said I have to tenderize it this morning for this evenings beef stew.

How about I show you how to do it in 30 minutes.

Sure baby knock your socks off.
She got the square pan and with no oil put the steak in the pan then the lid. Low heat for 30 minutes. Like a wrapped chuck steak in the oven only better.
Never to late to learn something except what is the last thing to go in a beef stew shortly before serving? Asparagus tips.
Mebbe the grands do know something I don't. Duh.
