I liked the other one better, the one in which they're holding each other's …

One is a great rifle. The other throws a lot of bullets in a lot of places. Some of those places, coincidentally, contain what you're shooting at.
I know almost any gun can be made to shoot better, and some can be made to shoot great, but, the average AKs that I have experience with weren't worth the cost of their parts, which ain't much! Poorly toleranced noise makers. I know there are clones out there that are decent weapons, but your average AK ain't worth shit. YMMV:) |

Nice bandsaw.

Good lord, would you look at that bandsaw.
WANT. On the other hand, I already have that vise. I love it. |
He has some nice toys.
I'd call that shaping, instead of carving, but, removing wood is removing wood, I reckon. |

Glock 42 in .380 caliber. My new little friend.
This isn't a photo of my little friend but off the net. It is true that it's not as smooth as many of the other models. That a "small" caliber is not terribly effective at stopping threats. BUT it is small enough to hide in shorts while you are biking around late at night. In Florida. I've had more than a few of the Glock pistols. Not saying that this "baby" G is my favorite but it's so incredibly concealable that it's easy to make it a daily carry piece. It's not a combat weapon, it's an insurance policy. IMO. |

My thoughts exactly, Bruce.
Also, if forced to shoot a charging dog, no need to injure someone a block away with the shoot-through. Or ricochet. |
I had a Browning .380 about a hundred years ago. I liked it. It was thinner than the Glock, though. Mine was seven round clip, I think. It had a hammer, regular safety, and a lemon-grip safety (palm safety), so I carried Condition One all the time.
Cocked, locked, and ready to rock. |

Perp wasn't shot but ran away since the guy he just slammed was able to fire. He told me carry condition one or leave it home. You'll never be able to predict what you're up against and your ability to draw and fire when you need to most. Even as a civilian. Racking your gat might not be possible with injuries. I see some people carry on an empty chamber. Many times those people tell me it's not chambered. They don't feel safe with condition one. I politely chuckle. If you don't trust yourself, maybe I should be a bit nervous having you carry. |
