21 day old ricotta filling?

21 days ago I made a couple of quarts of ricotta filling (ricotta, asiago, oil cured black olives, carmelized onions, herbs, suateed baby bellas) and I used half and intended to put the other half in the freezer for another day.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions as they say.

It smells fine and there is no evidence of mold. I'm wondering if it has been refrigerated and not opened if it is still good to eat or should be pitched.

Ask the mrsfootmrsfootmrsfoot.

Chicks are way better at determining when something needs to be pitched.

What was the expiration date on the ricotta itself? That's the real answer to your question. Hopefully you used the original container to store some of it.

1. mrs foot is not sur la casa as it may be.
2. Even if she were, her nose while regal and aqualine in appearance has no real, functioning parts inside.
3. Excellent idea!! am checking right now.

Inch and I are making pizza tonight and I thought a little leftover dough and filling could make a calzone.

I'll let you know. The filling is from an awesome savory strudel recipe.

Realised on second reading that you wanted to inherit them. My first thought was that you were headed round to a dead man's house with a camera and power tools. I was about to see if I could get through to the local police station from here....

Clazone - cross between a calzone and a claymore?

footfootfoot 12-22-2006 02:52 PM

It must have been a freudian slip, you know, like when you mean to say "would you please pass the salt?" but instead it comes out as "You bitch you've ruined my life."

zippyt 12-22-2006 03:36 PM
