What is up with my eye? Making an appointment with my Ophthalmologist tomorrow morning, this thread is to document... ...ever look at a bright light and still see a shadow of the light for a few moments? Sure ya have For me it's like that for the last week and a half, and has not gone away. Hasn't gotten worse either. But there it is interfering with my vision. Spexx you can throw in your two cents if you like, I do already have a proper Opth. that I like, and they have a baseline record on me from only four months ago, so that's good. But while I wait I am kinda on edge. You can imagine. Am I down for some laser repair surgery or is it gonna be like this for life? |

 Yikes, sounds like cataracts. |

Which can be fixed. My dad got new eyes because of it and where he was once really nearsighted, he now sees 20/20. |
|
Are you saying that you see a shadow that's always there? |
|
Yes, it's approximately round, and it sits in the middle of my field of vision. It moves a little, but not as much as a floater. |

I am not an eye doctor, nor do I play one on TV. My first thought was floater. Sometimes, they don't move. It's good to get it checked, though. Most times your eye reabsorbs floaters. http://www.righthealth.com/topic/Flo...9&kgl=39884418 |

 Maybe an alien implant?? |

Friggin Lizardmen, its always something with them. |
|
Can you see through the shadow, or is it an opaque space? |

It's just a darker area, I can see through it and it's more pronounced as I blink. |

This happened to me a few years ago. I think I posted about it here. It went away after a while. Was a mild swelling on the back of my retina. Annoying. |
|
 Torn retina, perhaps? Spexx? |

Have you checked the mirror? Maybe you forgot to remove your eye patch. |
