Cool Weapons

Got a Cool Weapon Photo? Share it. Both fictional and real weapons acceptable.
I'll start with the Skull Gauntlet: |
*cough*dork*cough*
|
It's a bit....well....skully, for my tastes.

Stop being so easy. no go ahead and post some more pictures - You and everyone else knows you have them already. So get on with it.
|
I don't mean to be ugly, but that looks like something a teenage boy would think is "cool". It's useless

Useless? Hardly. If an attacker saw me wearing that gauntlet, they run screaming for mommy. |

Also, as someone who knows Sweet Fanny Adams about weaponry, I have to say, I'd be more frightened if someone pulled a blade on me than if they waved that at me. @ Squirel: laughing my tits off, rfn :P |
People who use tough usernames are most likely just average (or less) in real life.
Annnd, I can see that this thread was a mistake. |
Umm...actually he's a serving soldier of long experience. But if you haven't been keeping up with dwellars then you weren't to know.
*chuckles* the thread's not a 'mistake'. But y'know...post stuff and people will comment; that's kind of what we do :P |

I think the claw thing has a certain bad-ass style, but IMHO it tries too hard, which makes it a wannabe bad-ass thing. I can't imagine anyone who expects a fight to choose it as a useful weapon over, say a club or regular knife. |
I'm sorry Datalyss for making an unseemly comment about the claw. I'm sure you will find it quite useful for personal defense from the bullies who take your school lunch money.
You pegged me on the user name. I guess I don't measure up in real life. |
Usually weapons purchased at the renaissance faire don't hold up very long either. Well, the ones Jim bought didn't anyway...
|
Yeah, but you had some fun games with them before they broke, right?

there's a bunch of pictures of him in Iraq and a recent one with the Houston Texan Cheerleaders. and this lends some credibility to that whole thing.

IMO, ya'll should really take a good look at their site B4 making any judgements. Now, if you'll excuse me, I off to watch CAPRICA. TTYL. |

You'll poke your eye out.

I must play nicely with others....I must play nicely with others....I must play nicely with others....awww, fuck it! Let me see, I demob in Hattiesburg and Gallman is about 2 hours away. If I run a MS DL (driver's license) search for males born 05JAN70 and cross refence the location, I'll get an address. Then I can reference tag receipts for registered vehicles..........
Of course I'm just kidding because if I saw a 40 yoa man with a fantasy skull gauntlet from the famous BDK, I would run screaming to my mommy. Now I need to go take my medicine. I admit I'm not the most stable person when I miss a dose. |
I doubt he has a DL. He's probably on some registry or other, though.

why thank you, as a lowly level 20 nerd, I've always aspired to become a dork . You've made my day! I wonder how long it'll take me to become a level 39 dork and whether I'll have enough gold to buy one of those rad claw-glove things?
|
sorry...was still talking to drax, thar

where's the pic of you, first, dwax? We have absolutely no reason to believe you're 40 and not in jail for something unspeakable. We believe sarge, we've seen his pics. Put up or shut up, I say. Or come and scare with with your toothpick mitten

I think the fact that the cellar sent him a Christmas package and that Sundae sent him cards and pics of herself kind of confirms Sarge's current posting :P
In fairness: the rule probably stands more often than it falls; that a 'tough' username often means a less than tough user. Just not in this case. Also, I don't actually think 'Big Sarge' was meant as a tough username, so much as an accurate description of what the user is: he's a sarge and he's a big guy :P Also in fairness, at a purely fantasy level, I can see the appeal of the glove blades.(though I don't much like all the skulls: I think it'd look cooler nif it didn't have those) Just wouldn't pan out in rl, that's all. Now, if someone pulled a samurai sword on me: then I'd run screaming for mommy :) @ Lookout: l like the look of those blades. I'm fairly typical as a brit: not much into guns, but I likes me a good blade. |
Datalyss - I'm sorry for being bitchy. My nickname is Big Sarge because that's what my soldiers call me. It's because of my size. I'm gruff and I bark, but inside I'm a marshmallow.
REF BUDK & United Cutlery products - I don't think they are very well made. Atlanta Cutlery & Museum Replicas have a decent line of historical reproductions & some fantasy pieces. They supplied weaponry for several movies to include "Kingdom of Heaven", "Braveheart", and "300". They also sell licensed movie replicas. They are owned by Windlass Steelcrafts in India. Windlass has been a contractor for the Brit MOD and they produce the swords for the USMC. I know several soldiers who carry knives from Atlanta Cutlery. Check them out if you get a chance. Once again, I'm sorry for my behavior. I don't want a flame war. When I'm in the US, I live in the Camp Shelby area. I'm active in cowboy action & hunting. You have an invite to go to try out some of my toys. You might like my 8 bore (.86 cal which is closer to a 7 bore) muzzle loader. I even have a 24 pdr Confederate iron expedient mortar with a 5.82 bore. It has a 1,200 yard range with the 17lb hollow cast balls. Sorry |
I like that site! I prefer a knife over a handgun.
I DO have a Renascence knife. I wish I had gotten a less decorative one though. |

And for me, you know, since I was ordering anyway. |

When I get back to the States, I want an Anzio Ironworks 20mm rifle. This is a Destructive Device so I can't place the order until I complete a Form 4. Anyway it fires the 20mm Vulcan round and has an effective range of app. 3,500 meters.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9NxH...layer_embedded http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4Dea...eature=related The ammunition photo illustrates just how big the round is. The round on the left is a 5.56mm that is standard for the M4/M16. The round on the far right is the 20mm Vulcan |
