How do you afford your Rock-n-Roll lifestyle?

How much did you pay for that bad Motto Guzzi?

Blueflare 05-22-2012 05:06 PM

I just don't eat.

jimhelm 05-22-2012 05:13 PM

I should try that

DanaC 05-22-2012 05:38 PM

Robbing Hobos and selling crack mainly

plthijinx 05-22-2012 06:22 PM

Dana? have you considered hoarding the Hobo's after you rob them and selling them to Infi?

Happy Monkey 05-22-2012 09:41 PM

No kids.

sad_winslow 05-24-2012 12:28 PM

Like a True American: I can't.

ZenGum 05-25-2012 12:25 AM

All on credit, baby, that and bad cheques and IOUs.

That's how rock'n'roll rolls. It rocks.

Ibby 05-25-2012 12:29 AM

I've become really good at convincing my parents that their budget they're willing to allot me - "rent and food", and occasionally clothes and gas and incidental costs if I can convince them to pay - should be quite a bit higher than I need. That is to say, if I tell them I eat well and instead eat super-cheap and shitty, I can spend the difference on vice.
I'll make a fanTAStic lobbyist someday won't I?

Blueflare 05-25-2012 06:26 AM

^Haha, I used to do that as a kid when my parents gave me £1.70 or whatever for lunch at school. I would go to Tesco instead and get something for about 30p and pocket the difference.
I felt like Bernie-fucking-Madoff.

How do you afford your Rock-n-Roll lifestyle?

A job. ;)

Though it's more a tremble and shuffle lifestyle.

Trilby 05-25-2012 08:15 AM

By the skin of my teeth and the kindness of strangers.

I also know Merc's pin.

infinite monkey 05-25-2012 08:16 AM

I read that as you know merc's 'pain.'

Trilby 05-25-2012 08:18 AM

I also have some of his teeth. The incisors.

wolf 05-26-2012 05:27 PM

OT.

Of course if by rock and roll lifestyle you mean working two shitty part time jobs in a record store and a clothing emporium and having to hitch rides to gigs, it never got quite that bad over this last year.

Sundae 05-27-2012 10:38 AM

I have a BBC talk radio lifestyle.
Early to bed, early to rise and no profanities.

And I can afford it by the good graces of my parents.

DanaC 05-28-2012 04:46 AM

Fortunately for me the market for crack is at an all time high!

jimhelm 05-28-2012 09:08 AM

So, beer pong is kind of fun. and Flip Cup.... and I like Sly Fox Brewery's Dunkel Lager. And Bonfires are fun too. And sometimes staying up until 3:30 partying with 20-30 yr olds is fun.

but doing it 2 nights in a row when you have to get up at the crack of ass and go to work the next day..... not so much fun... at least looking back at it from this side.
