Civil War
Which one of the four Civil Wars will be our next one...
Scenario #1: A Biden blowout Comparable war: The American Civil War Scenario #2: A close Biden win Comparable war: The Russian Revolution Scenario #3: A contested result Comparable war: The Irish War of Independence Scenario #4: A Trump win Comparable war: The Rwandan Civil War Get your Trumpy Bear now. |
The next civil war will be interrupted by Presidential candidate Kanye West just like he interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech during the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

State finds a Federal law that they find they cannot abide
State legislature creates opposing law Federal forces intervene to enforce Federal law State has emergency, feds refuse to release emergency funds without adherence to law, leaving state in desperation State reinforces state citizenship, declares paycheck withholding monies to be state property and directs it to state Feds announce articles of treason and arrest state officials who are under penalty of death State renounces membership in the union with 90% support State announces natural resources of state are its property and refuses to make deals with US-bound states Another state needing those resources announces deal and combines borders with first state to co-reject feds Other states vote to join first state as a matter of principle Federal election swayed to the team opposing first state via the loss of missing states' electoral votes Economic disruption leads to 25% unemployment and falling GDP for all, creating anger and resentment "Remainer" states start increasing violence with "Exit" states as populist movements paint the Other side as scapegoat Split causes wide panic as continent is threatened by outside nation as military is weakened and Exit states ponder agreement with that nation "Total" war begins |
States start sorting by politics, internal migrations make NY bluer PA redder NorthEast and West coast affiliate with Canada as reconstitution of British Empire begins. Pence presides over economic collapse of Gilead as food in Greater New Brittania becomes dear.

Do you have to join the civil service to fight in a civil war?
|
I wouldn't think so, but ya might hafta wear a civil suit.

Campaigning With Grant, Horace Porter. He ended the chapter "Grant Saluted by the Enemy" with the dry remark that "all parties knew we were engaged in a civil war, but this attention to the niceties [Grant returned the Confederate pickets' salute] rather exceeded expectations."

The influx of people into Vermont is, as usual, causing the typical problems: Prices for land and real estate skyrocket where locals can't afford the prices, Vermont values and mores are diluted and overshadowed by NYC values and mores making it less Vermonty and more Westchestery. (rude, arrogant, entitled, loud, self-centered, jay-walking and not yielding in traffic) Causing friction in communities where neighbors begin resenting neighbors who harbor new-comers. Quote:
My neighborhood is an odd mix of red and blue. Some of the red people are seemingly intelligent, one of them is a science teacher with an LGBTQ daughter and a military vet son, it's surprising to me that he supports Trump who is anti science, anti LGBTQ, and anti military. A couple of the nicest folks I know around here, who are inexplicably red, did not put up their usual political signs this year-something very out of character- I'm assuming that after the last four years supporting trump became a bridge too far. I've been listening to the podcast recommended by Ibby, "It Could Happen Here" Very interesting ideas about various ways in which the next civil war will play out. I don't have time at the moment to summarize, but I'd agree they are worth listening to. |

I am both pleased and displeased that you continue in your hobby of rolling in your own shit, and being stupid, stupefied, and antihistorical whenever you think it will be convenient -- hence dishonest. |

I'm sure skin color isn't an issue though. Especially as the president now appears to be even darker than before. Not quite sure how those boys look quite so white after a summer in Michigan though -they must have a good skin care routine with high SPF moisturizers. Or have been hunkered down in an underground bunker praying or something.... |

Buuuut... you don't seem to believe you're part of the economy. You really ought to abandon that kind of thinking -- the real demands it. Trump didn't get my vote -- the first time. Then he started doing all these libertarian things, most directly in reducing the footprint of the state. This action has made xoxoxoBruce gibber. Guess he isn't in the economy either. Certainly, no businessman. |
Maybe we follow different news sources, UG
|
Mine are news. Yours are adrip with prejudice if they're bringing your mind to its present state. Don't you think you could do better? It would magnificently broaden your mind.
As the soul of being unprejudiced, I recommend finding the Larry Elder Show on your radio. He comes at things from a libertarian point of view, and has the most sensible views of race relations you're going to find. I also recommend Mark Levin's a radio show for its intellectual power. His books concentrate this further. Ben Shapiro also has a show, and I've two of his excellent books, one a quick history of the philosophy of Western Civ and why we should not lose it, no how. |

Those are commentators. Like Rachel Maddow they spin current events to match their ideology. That is not news.

LOL all news today spins current events to match their ideology

Meanwhile one with a variety of moderate news sources (including Peter Jennings who UT mocked) knew, before "Shock and Awe", that Saddam clearly did not have WMDs. Anyone who listens to Fox News, et al wants to be brainwashed by propaganda. Fox routinely tells one what to think. Does not provide other perspectives. Never says why their claims should be believed. Fox does exactly what Radio Moscow did when I would listen in the early 1960s. Fox does exactly what my father did to prove that smoking cigarettes increases health. He targeted people with single dimensional perspectives. People who are most easily manipulated due to their information sources and emotional attitude. People who Limbaugh also targets. People who do not mock Trump's "alternative facts". Limbaugh said (on KDKA Pittsburgh) that the news is too complex (a lie). So he would tell us what to know. No wonder Limbaugh ordered his brainwashed disciples to know Saddam had WMDs. And that Covid is only another influenza (a lie). People who worship that Fox News lie (that all news is biased) are constantly misinformed. Even foolishly post that global warming does not exist - because Fox says so. And because Trump said, "Its going to get cooler. Trust me." The Great Liar said so. It must be true. We need no other news sources. Brainwashing is routine when one swallows extremist Kool-Aid. He went to a Pizza shop with an AK-47 to liberate children in the basement. When learned no basement exists (because extremist news lied to him), did he blame himself? Of course not. He watched Fox News. So he denied by saying, "Bad intelligence." Reality. He listens to Fox News, et al. No intelligence. Fox News exists only to promote extremist rhetoric - juts like Radio Moscow in the USSR. UT refused to admit Saddam's WMDs did not exist. Because Fox News (not honest news services) was his information source. Also explains the 40% so brainwashed as to think Trump is an honest man. Brainwashing just like what happened in 1930s Germany. |
For example, I am basing my anti-science statement on the actions of the administration, not the ideas of a commentator from either side.

Michigan Domestic Terror Plot Sends Shockwaves Through Militia World ... Croft, one of 13 men charged Thursday in connection with a domestic terrorism plot to kidnap Michigan Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, was a visible figure on the message boards and Facebook pages of the so-called Patriot Movement. NPR interviews with associates who know him from that world portray a power-hungry figure whose angling for stature was unsettling at times. Now that Croft is in custody and his connections under scrutiny, their fear is: Who's next? ... NPR couldn't reach an attorney for Croft, and it was impossible to verify the militia members' accounts independently. Croft's social media presence backs up their descriptions of him as an avid President Trump supporter and an activist for right-wing causes. In one photo, Croft is wearing an American Revolutionary tricorn and a green hoodie with a Three Percent logo. SITE Intelligence Group, which monitors extremist propaganda, posted a video that purportedly shows Croft, speaking from his garage, mocking people who dismiss him as a conspiracy theorist. ... These kooks are well represented hereabouts. There was a Patriot Meeting sign up at the Paraco building in Choconut PA for a couple days a week ago. We had a big explosion heard 100 miles into PA centered near South Apalachin NY in December of '16, unrelated to our core industries of stone quarrying and meth labs. When government by the GOP minority ends I expect some shit to go down, how much is a question. |

Before the shit hits the fan, get this for Benny, you fly I'll buy.
Oh, also one for the other pup if he's still hanging in there. |
Ha! Benny does have some common sense. We had a bear visit 2 nights ago and he bravely barked his ass off... from the porch.

What is Glorious Leader Benny Hill telling us?

Keep our heads down. The anti-Americans will tire quickly.

There are quite a few people who pull up to a desk and do this sort of thing -- a thing which edifies the reader. I find their thinking good. This reading is something xoxoxoBruce gives no sign of ever having done in all his days. His recourse to the non-argument of hollow fleering -- and his manifest belief this would carry the day -- are symptoms of this neglect. Bruce -- you're no good at this. |

I do not continue this exercise with the Los Angeles Times. The desperate prejudice against Trump greatly disgraces any and all who have it. I am the soul of nonprejudice, I am cleansed and in a state of grace. Pretty much by my own efforts. |

wait, wait, wait. are you saying that communists are.. trump supporters?

are you saying that... putin is a communist?

UG and other laughing clowns automatically believe lies. Did you also swallow their Kool-Aid - and are now giggling with delight? Communists need an American president with a narcissistic personality disorder and a 30 second attention span. All 17(?) American intelligence agencies stated how Communists are campaigning for Trump. They know who their friends are. To demonstrate his ego, Trump shared most sensitive British secrets with the Russian foreign minister and ambassador - in the Oval Office. He is best friends with communists and other American adversaries. What American approves? Giggling ones. Don''t drink the water. Trump successfully subverted Federal regulations to keep water safe. He needs all to drink the Kool-Aid. Then you will also believe all 22,000 Trump lies - while giggling in the Cellar. |
i know an awful lot of communists and literally none of them support putin (or trump, for that matter). american intelligence agencies saying that communists support trump? what communists?
what year do you think it is, dude? |
Quote:
Why are you so hung up on names? As indicated by snide remarks in soundbites. It is simply the old USSR with a different name. Even the Russian National anthem is the old Soviet anthem. It was restored under Putin. With different lyrics so as to claim it is a different communism. Russia is no longer a democracy - except in name. Do all communists agree or support one another? Obviously not. Why would anyone foolishly make that assumption? Just like two democracies (Iran and US) do not agree. Today's Russia is simply the new communism. Where a despot makes all rules. And even murders adversaries to protect their power. Being anarchists, they (like Nazis, Wolverine Watchmen, White Supremacists, Timothy McVeigh types and others motivated by hate) love Trump. Are openly campaigning to get mafioso type Don reelected. Trump refuses to condemn any of them. Internationally, Trump repeatedly praises despots and disparages America's allies. He recruits his supporters by promoting hate and dissension. His supporters are far out extremists - not patriotic moderates. Despots and tyrants know from where to recruit supporters. Including campaign support from the Russian military. Even Trump's lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, is essentially a front man for Russian communists. That conclusion made bluntly by US intelligence. And former Trump administration officials. Trump makes Nixon look honest. |
