fat vs not fat

Ok I am new so i guess... hi

If there was a 800 pound fat guy who could still move easily and was not too slow and a 200 pound guy who was muscular and was fast and they had an all out fight to the death with no rules... who would win? (they can not use weapons like bats and chairs just there bodies) ( also they are in a closed space about the size of a boxing ring)

I say the fat guy would win because the punches from the other guy would do nothing and how can the other guy move him? Plus all the fat guy needs to do is to get the other guy on the ground and get on top of him

Trilby 07-11-2006 02:38 PM

Hi. what an incredibly weird way to say hello!

I still say the 200 pound guy would win. The 800 pound guy has hypertension and diabetes and unstable angina.

wolf 07-11-2006 03:09 PM

200 pounder ... more endurance overall, even if the 800 pounder would be pugilistically more skilled.

barefoot serpent 07-11-2006 03:13 PM

yeah, even if the 800lb'er is on top, most of his weight is still on the ground and the small guy can escape. Watch some sumo wrestling sometime, the smaller guys often win.

slang 07-11-2006 03:39 PM

Why would these two be fighting? If for pizza.....

hugefatguy 07-11-2006 04:39 PM

well i still say the fat guy because 200 pound man could not get him off. And plus if you are that heavy you dont have to be unhealthy.

Ibby 07-11-2006 04:41 PM

Yeah, uh, I think its prettymuch impossible to be 800 pounds and in prime shape. If a guy three or four times your size is laying on you, only a third or a fourth of him is actually touching you, the rest is on the ground, and if youre in relatively good shape, you can wriggle out.

Trust me, I know.

hugefatguy 07-11-2006 04:42 PM

i disagree

hugefatguy 07-11-2006 04:43 PM

plus what if the fat guy body slams him? then its over

capnhowdy 07-11-2006 04:43 PM

C'mon, dude... let's get real. How the fuck can a man weigh 800 lbs. and NOT be unhealthy? Sheesh.

hugefatguy 07-11-2006 04:43 PM

Ibram how do you know?

capnhowdy 07-11-2006 04:45 PM

Try signing up someone that fat to a pro sports team or the military. NOT! Wonder why.

hugefatguy 07-11-2006 04:45 PM

well when i said he dosent have to be unhealthy i meant he dosent HAVE to have dieabeties

hugefatguy 07-11-2006 04:46 PM

actually the Nfl is trying to hire a 802 pound african american fat guy right now

Ibby 07-11-2006 04:48 PM

I know because, back when i was a scrawny 90-pound kid, i would get in fights with kids twice my size and sometimes age. When I didnt win, I could always squirm away and scurry off.

hugefatguy 07-11-2006 04:50 PM

well the difference here is 4 times and i forgot to add they are in a closed space like a boxing ring

Ibby 07-11-2006 04:58 PM

if the person is four times bigger that just makes it all the easier to get away. As you can see, most of the big fat dude is on the floor.

hugefatguy 07-11-2006 05:04 PM

but what if the fat guy got the little guy on the floor and then body slamed him right on his stomach and then started punching him? Or what if the fat guy got the little guy on the floor and the jumped on him with both feet.

Ibby 07-11-2006 05:08 PM

What if? What if? What if?

Find me an 800 pound dude and let me gain 70 pounds or so and we'll see. You asked my opinion, I told you. Small dude has maneuverability and is in better shape.

xoxoxoBruce 07-11-2006 05:12 PM

Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.

hugefatguy 07-11-2006 05:17 PM

Thoose are links to pictures of emanuel yarbrough since thoose pictures he has gained weight and fat the NFL is intrested in him he already beat a 200 pound guy by laying on him and body slamming him until the 200 pound guy couldnt breathe

He currently weighs 808 pounds with an 88 inch waist can walk is fast.

capnhowdy 07-11-2006 05:20 PM

I'll kick his fat ass.

Ibby 07-11-2006 05:21 PM

808 pounds, of which probably what, four, five hundred is muscle? That wasnt the question.

barefoot serpent 07-11-2006 05:25 PM

got some mojo in the dojo

hugefatguy 07-11-2006 05:30 PM

actually he was very muscular before he got fat and when he got fat the fat covered the muscle it is still there just not visible and plus he has over 400 pounds of muscle and if you were 200 pounds of muscle his 400 would beat you 200 fat would help HIM

xoxoxoBruce 07-11-2006 05:37 PM

Big difference between a sumo ring and a 53x100 yard field. Gotta catch 'em first.

He would make a good line, however. :D

hugefatguy 07-11-2006 05:39 PM

i said they were in a boxing ring

xoxoxoBruce 07-11-2006 05:48 PM

True but the NFL doesn't care what you say, they make their own rules.
I mentioned it because you were using the interest of the NFL as credentials of this guys bad-ass-ness. ;)

barefoot serpent 07-11-2006 05:52 PM

one headbutt from Zizou and he's gonna be a 800lb speedhump.

Undertoad 07-11-2006 06:02 PM

Does nobody remember the boxing matches that were on Fox? It was 375 lb William "Refrigerator" Perry vs 7'7" and probably 150 lb. Manute Bol.

I don't remember how the fight was scored, but to me Bol won, and Perry just wound up exhausted.

hugefatguy 07-11-2006 06:27 PM

thats a small difference

jinx 07-11-2006 06:37 PM

Ibby 07-11-2006 06:48 PM

Exactly, jinx. The Princess Bride trumps all other arguments anyone can make. jinx wins.

jinx 07-11-2006 06:50 PM

Thank you - glad I could help.
:D

capnhowdy 07-11-2006 08:30 PM

but what if ....

monster 07-11-2006 11:10 PM

What if we were in the real world. The fat guy has to be fast enough to pin the thin guy in the first place.....

Stormieweather 07-11-2006 11:48 PM

Even on an 800 lb fat guy, there are less fat areas that are vulnerable...say, his eyes or nostrils or testicles or kneecaps. If the 200 lb guy were not just a couch potato with a beer belly, he could probably do some serious damage if he could stay just out of arm's reach.

He currently weighs 808 pounds with an 88 inch waist can walk is fast.

Do you have anything that says the NFL is interested? I only found 2 links - one that says they are interested only if he can get his weight under a quarter of a ton - http://www3.sympatico.ca/farini/peac...derThighs.html

And one that actually mentions that some of NFL is interested, but there is nothing else: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/funn...me/2124194.stm

What else have you found?

Just curious, because I don't think having a 770 pound man would be beneficial. Yea, not many can get past him, but he can't move real fast for real long. He would be out after a couple plays.

Spexxvet 07-12-2006 08:53 AM

There seems to be an assumption that the 200 lb guy is Charles Atlas, and the fat guy is a big bowl of jelly. What is his waist size? How fast can he run a mile? The 100 yd dash?

Even if the big guy is not physically fit, all he needs is a strong grip. If the big guy can hold the little guy, he can punch him. Because of his great mass, the damage done, even at a relatively low punch speed, would be significant. If he can hold the little guy, he may be able to get on top of him. It may not be hard to squirm out from under a 200 lb guy, but 800 lbs is a very different situation. If the big guy has any kind of skill, nobody will get out from under him. As for weak areas, the 200 lb guy has eyes and testicles just like the big guy.

I'm not saying the big guy will always win - I'm saying it depends on the individual big and little guy.

Ibby 07-12-2006 09:00 AM

but assuming an average 800 pound person, and a 200-pounder who was "muscular and was fast" as stated in the opening post... theres little contest, the 800-pounder would lose.

Spexxvet 07-12-2006 09:01 AM

Don't count on it.

Happy Monkey 07-12-2006 10:53 AM

because he couldn't find the fat guys hoo-hah?

hugefatguy 07-12-2006 11:19 AM

well i agree with Spexxvet the big guy would win almost certinly if he has some skill. And any ways Emanuel yarbrough that 800 african american sumo was in wrestling he already beat a 200 pound guy by getting on top of him. The other guy could not get him off plus emanuel yarbrough is actually fast according to most people who wrestle him.

Ibby 07-12-2006 11:31 AM

WE AREN'T TALKING ABOUT YARBROUGH, we're talking about an average 800-pound dude.

If you has asked "who would win, an 800-pound professional wrestler or a 200-pound guy in average shape?", of COURSE the answer would be the wrestler.

800 lb guys, like elephants, don't jump. make a heck of a hockey goalie, though. should be the nHl that's interested in him. total eclipse of the goal.

just how huge are you, hugefatguy? what about a 500lb fat guy vs a 300lb fat guy?

what about a 90lb weakling against a 115lb supermodel?

what about dracula vs frankenstien?

or Captain Kirk v. Picard?

Beestie 07-13-2006 06:52 AM

The 800 pound guy wins 99 times out of 100. Maybe more.

There is no substitute for size. Its not only the percentage difference but the actual difference. Imagine a 50 pound guy against a 200 pound guy (or woman for that matter). Same percentage difference but an actual difference of 150 pounds - imagine a 600 pound difference.

The problem with fighting somebody that much bigger is that you can't get close enough to do any damage because as soon as they can grab you the fight is over. About the only strategy that would work is to circle around and attack from behind, take out the knees and get the monster on the ground. A frontal attack is suicide.

Just sweep the knee of the fat guy... game over.

capnhowdy 07-13-2006 02:30 PM

This has gotta be the strangest thread I've ever read.

Ridgeplate 07-13-2006 03:57 PM

Sweep the knee of the fat guy *using* Capt Kirk, not Picard. Kirk's got some mass of his own, while that silly Frenchie would just fold up around the big guy's kneecap.

Shocker 07-13-2006 05:47 PM

Even if the 800 lb man has 4x the weight of the 200lb man, the 200lb man has the ultimate advantage of being quicker and in better physical condition. Even if the fat guy was strong and healthy, the size of his mass would be too large to move with any quickness, and the energy requirements he would need to put up a good fight would drain him in a short amount of time. The 200lb man would be like a lion attacking a lumbering elephant. Sure the elephant has the size advantage, but the lion can jump and claw and eventually beat down the elephant. He can run circles around him and stratigically place strong jabs on the fat man and that will wear him out before he can do anything back.

What if the 200lb guy is wirey? What if he has the eye of the tiger?
LJ is 2-3X my size and I can easily kick his ass.

warch 07-13-2006 07:31 PM

I need to know heights.

capnhowdy 07-13-2006 08:06 PM

I think the fat guy quit anyway.......

hugefatguy 07-13-2006 09:20 PM

Heights are the skinny guy is 5 foot 5 and the fat guy is 7 and 2 inchs

Ibby 07-13-2006 09:26 PM

5'5" and 200 pounds of muscle? Then he's pretty damn strong.

7'2"? yeah right. How many seven foot 800-pound people could there be?
