Name That Movie

...by the opening song. A new fun game! (Sorry folks.)

It works similarly to the Music Trivia game--answer the clue correctly, and confirmed (except if you're *really* sure, then dare to continue), with the movie title, then name another song that is the first played at the start of another movie for the next person to guess. Additional clues allowed, if necessary. Feel free to attempt to cheat, if you can live with yourself.

I'll start off easy--Jingle Bell Rock.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation?

bluecuracao 07-20-2006 07:24 PM

No...same decade, though.

JayMcGee 07-20-2006 08:14 PM

damm.... can't think of the name.... the one where Bill Murray was a TV exec producing a live TV special along the lines of 'A Christmas Carol' ... scrooge?

Happy Monkey 07-20-2006 10:53 PM

Scrooged.

Tin Man 07-21-2006 04:43 AM

Die Hard 1. Or was that just the closing credits?

Shawnee123 07-21-2006 11:11 AM

Home Alone?

Undertoad 07-21-2006 11:31 AM

Die Hard 2?

glatt 07-21-2006 11:54 AM

OK, what movie started with Little Green Bag by George Baker Selection?

bluecuracao 07-22-2006 06:58 PM

The coolest ever, strutting-while-wearing-sunglasses song...and the movie is Reservoir Dogs.

Next: Midnight Rider by the Allman Brothers.

Crimson Ghost 07-23-2006 03:45 AM

Elspode 07-26-2006 01:55 PM

Easy Rider?

glatt 07-26-2006 02:03 PM

Oh, good guess. They have that drug deal at the beginning, and then later they have Born to be Wild. I bet you are right.

Crimson Ghost 07-28-2006 09:32 AM

Yup.
Elspode got it.

bluecuracao 08-04-2006 11:00 PM

Elspode, what's your song?

Boss Hogg 08-18-2006 03:29 PM

Didnt Standing Tall with The Rock open with that same tune??

bluecuracao 08-18-2006 06:28 PM

You mean Walking Tall? Yep, looks like you're right--and it's also the opening song for The Electric Horseman, I think.

This game has the potential to get nice and complicated...

Boss Hogg 08-19-2006 04:27 PM

LOL, my bad...Thats what i meant, Walking Tall.....i feel like a real dumb ass

 :smack: :dunce: :smashfrea: :banghead:

I should disclose that I'm not all that up on The Rock's movies, and I had to look it up.

Crimson Ghost 08-20-2006 12:30 AM

Don't worry, BC.
Hollywood's not following The Rocks movies, either.

You know, I honestly couldn't think of one off the top of my head, so someone else please just carry on.

footfootfoot 08-20-2006 05:52 PM

OK, this dovetails nicely into my movie quote trivia Question which the brits on the board are really letting me down over.

Here goes:

"If you want it, here it is come and get it"-Badfinger

Elspode 08-21-2006 01:27 PM

Magic Christian

bluecuracao 08-24-2006 03:04 AM

Well, if Ghost is really banned (?), then it's all on you again, Elspode. Oh, never mind, I have one:

Call Me--Blondie

dar512 08-24-2006 09:50 AM
