How many Christmas postcard can I receive?

I have never had one Christmas. When it is coming, I often think it is a special day for the people who will have it.

Please send me email or PM on Cellar and I will tell you my address and email. You guys can send me postcard by snail mail or ecard on line. So I can have a special day this year as you will do. I will reply after I get greetings from you. The first one will be XOXO. He has given me much help in the past time.

xoxoxoBruce 11-13-2006 02:18 AM

December 25th is Christmas, Billy. Some people send their Christmas Cards right after Thanksgiving, which is the fourth Thursday in November(Nov 23rd this year), but most mail them in the last couple weeks before Christmas.

I wonder how long it takes a card to get there by mail? Send me your address and I'll put you on my card list, buddy. :D

Billy 11-13-2006 02:43 AM

It takes about 2 weeks from the USA to China by snail mail.

Griff 11-13-2006 06:09 AM

I sent you a PM Billy. Happy Holidays!

LabRat 11-13-2006 09:43 AM

I PM'd you too.

Please post a picture of all of the cards you get after Christmas!

Thanks for all your photography, I've enjoyed it.

LR

Sundae 11-13-2006 09:56 AM

Am sending you a PM - a Christmas card is the least I can do in return for the pleasure your pictures have given.

BigV 11-13-2006 09:56 AM

ding! You have a message from me too! We get Christmas west of the Pecos, too, y'know.

limey 11-13-2006 11:24 AM

You (and certainly your postman!) will probably regret starting this thread ... ;)

Billy 11-13-2006 06:11 PM

Thank you guys. You are so kind. I will try my best to reply you. I cant rely all of you if I get postcards from everybody on CELLAR.

Please write down your CELLAR ID if you send me postcard or ecard. Merci!

wolf 11-13-2006 08:44 PM

I would be very happy to send you a Christmas Card!!

I'm going to have to figure out how much postage goes on a Christmas card to China... :)

dar512 11-16-2006 04:57 PM

Billy,

Forgive my ignorance. Is it possible that you will get into trouble from your government for receiving lots of Christmas cards?

marichiko 11-18-2006 10:30 AM

skysidhe 11-18-2006 10:35 AM

Bookmarked!

great idea. I would love to send a card! :)

Billy 11-18-2006 06:50 PM

Thank you guys. Today I will send a postcard to XOXO.
2007 is a Chinese pig year. So you can see the pig on the postcard.

Clodfobble 11-27-2006 01:56 PM

Your Christmas card is going in the mail today, Billy!

Don't forget it takes at least two weeks under normal circumstances, people--gotta get moving if it's going to get there before the 25th.[/nag]

xoxoxoBruce 12-01-2006 07:45 PM

I got Billy's card. 2007, The year of the pig.
Unlike UT's pigs, that dive and swim and race each other for Oreos, this is a studious pig. Hitting the books, sweat on his brow and furiously taking notes with his left hoof.

I'd guess he's working hard to pass his English proficiency exam..... so he can get a visa to study abroad....from the English all over his shirt.;)

This is the post box where I posted Billy's card yesterday. I live in half of a former Post Office so all I have to do is lean over the wall to post my mail!
The second pic is the view across my front garden towards the post box.
PS Love the Pig!

Wow, what a neat, serene looking place. Right now I'd like to jump on a plane to another part of the world and get the hell out of this oppressive little town, state, country.

Sigh...

Billy 12-03-2006 07:06 AM

Thanks. I just came back from Zhouzhuang, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province today. I will post the pitcures soon.

Griff 12-03-2006 07:08 AM

Ours are still being assembled. Lil Pete did the drawing and Pete is putting them together. I hope we get done in time for Christmas in China!

glatt 12-04-2006 09:53 AM

Hey Billy, did you get mine yet? I sent it before Thanksgiving. It's a postcard from Washington D.C.

You'll take pictures of everything you get and post them here, won't you?

orthodoc 12-04-2006 12:19 PM

I'm a little late joining in, but I'd be happy to send you a Christmas card, Billy! I'll pm for your address.

Merry Christmas!

richlevy 12-04-2006 07:37 PM

Billy,

I don't send out Christmas cards, but if you PM me your address I will send you a Hanukkah card or 'Happy Holidays' card, your choice.

Thanks Glaff. Coworker informed this morning that your Christmas card came to my office. I have not seen it because I am still on business trip.
I will scan the postcard and post here.

I am back office. It is so nice to see your cards. Until today, I got 6 postcards & 2 packages. Thanks.

glatt 12-12-2006 07:41 PM

Cool! That's my postcard on the top. It's the christmas tree by the White House.

Clodfobble 12-12-2006 07:45 PM

Mine is the one with three identical stamps side-by-side!

Sundae 12-13-2006 08:28 AM

I don't think mine is there (in which case the Royal Mail sucks compared to the US Postal Service). I'm pretty sure mine had a blue Airmail sticker next to the stamps, which none of the cards seem to have.

Maybe you'll get it by next Christmas Billy :(

limey 12-13-2006 04:44 PM

That looks awfully like a package from me at the top there, but no sign of my card yet ... both posted the same day!

rkzenrage 12-13-2006 05:26 PM

I'll just send you mine now..
Happy Holidays!

By the way, Billy. I read today that Bush hasn't gotten around to finishing the report on Iraq, because he's busy reading Marley and Me.

Sundae 12-14-2006 05:08 AM

Merry Christmas Billy - I'm so glad it arrived.

CzinZumerzet 12-14-2006 06:17 AM

Billy I think I have e-mailed you and would be delighted to send a card when your address arrives. I love getting and sending them and will be happy to send to anyone else who'd like one.

US Postal hasn't gotten mine there either apparently. :sniff:

wolf 12-19-2006 01:20 AM

Merry Christmas, Billy! I'm glad mine made it to you!

limey 12-19-2006 02:44 AM

I'll own up to the Christmas Pud, the island post card and the Christmas card from Arran. Merry Christmas Billy!

Trilby 12-21-2006 11:40 AM

Billy--the US post office assured me that you would get mine in time for Xmas---I hope you get it, sweetie! (sadly, i didn't send a cheesy card--though I wanted to.)

Thanks for the card Billy! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

xoxoxoBruce 12-21-2006 09:33 PM

Ah, that's a nice one, limey.

mysmartmouth 12-22-2006 03:59 PM

That is a really nice idea. It would be even better to do this as a sort of charity, I think. Have you guys seen the PostSecret blog?

xoxoxoBruce 12-22-2006 04:23 PM

Charity? We ain't got no stinkin charity. We drive people that want charity off the board onto the ice floes, to die a wretched death.

Trilby 01-05-2007 08:24 AM

Where'd Billy go?

wolf 01-05-2007 11:04 AM

He's probably explaining Christmas Cards from Around the World to the Secret Police.

xoxoxoBruce 01-06-2007 04:05 AM

Billy does a lot of traveling, around China, to different supplier's plants. He quality checks the pieces they've subcontracted to these plants and OKs them for shipment. A lot of the time he has no internet access or it's closely monitored.
He be back. :D

Billy 01-07-2007 10:53 PM

Happy New Year, everybody! Thank your kind concerns!

The international connection was not good because of Taiwan earthquake and had a bad new year.

In X'MAS season I was on business trip. My roommate forgot to lock the door of our house when he went out to maeket on Dec. 26. Our home was stolen. I lost my watch, money, mp3 player, swiss knife.... very sad. And I got a cold for that and slept on bed two days.

I come back on biz again after 3 days at home. I did not have time to check your cards in my office. I think they should come. Maybe I will come back this week. I will keep you posted.

Hope everybody have a happy and lucky 2007!

wolf 01-07-2007 11:10 PM

Billy, I am so sorry to hear about what happened to your things.

Hope that things improve for you as the old year ends and the new one begins!

Happy Year of the Boar!
